Uhh more than I can mention in one post on phone. Google "four stages of body position" for the basic idea because there's a few. Good body position isn't just what you do, it's when you do It (and how smoothly), there's no use hanging off like stoner if you're doing it at the wrong moment and destabilising the machine.

Also, in terms of the easy bit (the actual body position "poses" ) I suggest getting a friend to video or photograph you so you can see what you look like now and know what to change. I cannot emphasise enough that what you think you look like is not what you do, you are not leaning off very far and you aren't particularly low right now.

~200 piece metric mechanic's toolset (ideally with ratcheting wrenches), tire spoons, JIS screwdriver set, the little multi-size axle tool, large 17mm-21mm conventional wrenches, penetrating lubricant, anti-seize, oils and coolants for specific bike(s), chain cleaner and lubricant, chain link tool, moto jack (if you want to be fancy), fork and swingarm lifts, fork seal and valve tools (if you want to go full retard), and that about covers it. Tubes for your tire sizes and/or a tire patch kit and small inflator will see you good to go if you get a flat out and about.

There isn't much to say about it. It's a damn good bike as is every other supersport in the 600 class. If it turns on and shifts through the gears, then you're good to go. There really isn't much else to it. If you're tight on money, be sure to check the condition of the chain, rear sprocket, and tires prior to purchase as you may need to replace these shortly after buying it (if they are in bad shape).

My dad said that wearing earplugs is stupid because you won't be able to hear traffic

I told him it's to prevent hearing loss, but he said a CBR 250R won't be loud enough to cause damage anyway

what do

he's a cruiser rider if that's of any importance to know
>>
>>16384588
he's right
>>
>>16384588
wind noise alone will damage your hearing. Tell him to fuck off because he's obviously never tried it. you can't hear traffic over wind noise anyway. Ear plugs don't block out all noise, they just lower it to a reasonable level. You can still hear all the same things but not in damaging loudness.

Wearing earplugs is less isolating than driving in a car with the windows up.
>>
>>16384588

right dbt
advise please:
ruined the thread in a brake caliper bleed nipple hole, but got the actual nipple out fine, so it's just an empty hole with a stripped thread down the bottom. OEM nipple was M7 but i've bought an M8 one online. Planning to drill out the existing threads and tap an m8 thread into the caliper and stick the new nipple in - problem is I'm worried i'm gonna drill through the seat of the nipple hole and ruin it...

also is drilling out and retapping in this application (retaining high fluid pressure) even safe? Should I just buy a new caliper?

many hanks

Okay nobike
>>
>>16384616
I probably wouldn't drill it out because the bottom of the hole is machined to seal with the nipple. Maybe a helicoil thread repair would work but I would sill be concerned about fucking the seal and losing brake pressure.

Try looking for a used caliper online.

Your dad is ignorant. I've gotten into the habit of wearing plugs and I don't even ride without plugs anymore now.

And even with the plugs on after 2 hours of riding with a 105db exhaust I still feel my hearing takes a beating. I get home and try to listen to music and the lows and highs are all missing, it's awful. I switched to a quieter exhaust after that.

>>16384616
I think you'll be fine, and I think the new M8 thread will hold just fine. You can perhaps try putting a rubber washer under a metal washer on the nipple and seeing if that gives you a better seal. Loctite might also help (it should be easy to break it loose with some acetone and heat if you need to)

Anyhow if the new thread does not seal, I think you'll either see it leak right away on a test ride or it'll start leaking over time, rather than let the fluid all leak out at once in a catastrophic manner.

The only 100% safe solution of to get yourself a new caliper on eBay. But I'd try some sort of repair first.

One thing that completely riddles me is how the hell are you americans allowed to go out on the street with an uninsured ride. Doesnt the court hold you responsible for the damage incase you crash?

Here in yurup, people are in debt for the rest of their lives if they'd cause an accident without insurance and/or drunk while driving. Especially if you would wreck someones brand new car.

Uninsured migrants and deadbeats are why we are required to have Uninsured Motorist coverage. If the PoPo catches you without insurance, then you get points and a fat fine, maybe licence suspension/revocation, if not worse.

The burgman 400 is quite popular because it werks and has a shitton of carrying space
Also quite easy to rice, slam and stance

Keep in mind usually a scoot will cost more than an equivalent bike, will consume slightly more and generally perform worse, but they are piss easy to learn and maintain

what kind of shit is that.

and yeah overrev was

>>16385019

ROSSI on the yamaha at mugello, which was caused by the addition of winglets that meant only the rear wheel would leave the ground over the last hump of the straight which was letting the engine overrev until it popped.

Lorenzo did it in warm up too but rossis popped mid race.

the rev limiter was set maybe slightly higher but the real problem was the bike couldn't cut it fast enough when the rear wheel left the ground at those speeds.

If the wheel stayed on the ground the whole time there would be no problems but it didn't.

Finally had a good day to actually ride a bit, weather got up into the 50's by the afternoon.

Bought some new Sidi boots and a Klim helmet, so that's awesome.

Anyone else get some decent riding in today?

For whatever fucking reason, here in california DRZs hold their value, and you hardly ever run into one for less than 4k. Who knows why.

Nah. It's just that those nutbags who brought us prohibition in the 1920's never really left. One of their current tactics is to make it illegal to get home from the bar.

I have compiled a list of shit to add onto baiku while I'm recovering from injury.

>replace damaged yoshimura muffler with danmeme muffler
>add on danmeme rearsets
>new mirrors
>new bars
>obligatory yamaha r6 throttle tube mod
>integrated tail light
>new front turn signals
>retrofit HID into original headlight housing
>some dank domino grips
>new tank pad, maybe pads on side

lets goooooooooooo
>>
>>16385739
>falling for the r6 throttle tube meme
it does nothing, same turn radius.
>>
>>16385739
don't go danmeme, spend more get real rearsets.

t. danmeme owner
>>
>>16385750
Do you mean throttle twist, anon? Not sure how turn radius plays into a throttle tube. I'm not sure if it does anything but I'm doing it anyways.

As if cops know the law.

>>16385739
also, if you're not literally running out of cornering clearance on the stock rearsets with the feelers off DO NOT bother with rearsets.
>>
>>16385739
>integrated tail light
>aftermarket turn signals
>HID retrofit into original housing
I hope you crash again.
>>
>>16385760
Yeah fug, turn radius of the throttle, throttle twist whatever.

So Cal has a used bike pricing problem. Peeps will as for MSRP or more for five year old bikes on CL. Life's too easy here.

I'm sure as hell no fucking tee-totaller, but drink responsibly (even if it means walking home or twiddling your thumbs out by your vehicle for hour[s] while you wait for your liver to metabolize the shit to acceptable levels) or arrange transportation beforehand, it's not hard or complicated. Yes, the police can go fuck themselves but in this subject you are not a martyr being oppressed by the system.

Well seeing as how my right footpeg got completely annihilated when I highsided I figured I'd put something else on. The stock pegs really have a lot of movement on them which is annoying.

>>16385766
>>16385773
Relax guys its not ricer shit. plenty of other fz8 owners have done it. I'm going to make sure everything is aligned so I'm not blinding people. I hate when squids are behind me when I'm lane splitting with their shitty HIDs in my eyes.

It was pretty dank desu thank you for asking. I met up with a random dude I had met the day before and we went riding around town. He was new to the area so we rode to all the major landmarks and then I spent Christmas with my family and played vidya gaymes with them.
