I considered that too, but as I'll do a lot of city riding too, the fact that it's about 30 kGs heavier than comparable bikes is a pretty big turn off to me. It also falls in a very unfortunate insurance class for me, just because of a few hp that'll probably not even get to the rear wheel, anyways

but it definitely is a consideration, becasue some torque is pretty nice

How do you guys spend your free time when you can't ride?
>>
>>16314613
okay, the old one weighs 220 kGs wet, where as the honda hornet weighs 198 kGs wet. I mean, I understand how having a bigger engine makes the bike heavier, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

and yes, I am german. Insuring a bike that has 98 hp will cost me 220 € a year, where as insuring a 110 hp bike will cost me around 350€. I know it's not a giant sum, but it's not really positive to me, either
>>
>>16314623
IDK. Most leathers I see just have the logo printed once across the chest and then maybe a smaller logo on the shoulder or legs. Of course the manufacturer is going to put their name on it somewhere but usually it's not overly billboardlike.

It has an. Old school look to it. You could actually wear the thing when you're not on your bike. I think it's totally appropriate for a cruiser or other vintage motorcycle

I've had license plate cracking issues too. First was from the exhaust pulses of my thumper pressure cracking it then scraping it doing wheelies broke it the rest of the way through. When I got a new one I adhered it to a thick piece of metal and bolted it horizontally offset to the left to get it away from my exhaust and give me more ground clearance. Only problem is it blocks my left turn signal now.

I already have a good bike, paid off too.

It's just the feeling of being on my last leg, like if the bike exploded or something id be fucked.

on a side note what would be some good gear to get since ill be riding through the cold? It gets down to about 15-20F here at the coldest.

It depends on the jacket. My alpinstars one work better with gauntlets because it's more race cut. Revit jacket not so much.

Anyone else put higher grade fuel in their bike than specified? Mine calls for reg but I always put premium or ultimate in because I don't trust the shitty normie fuel
>>

I dont. I used to put 97 on my vfr and it would backfire like crazy. Swithched to 89 and it stopped.
>>
>>16316432
well if you're talking about a specific brand of gas, then yeah i might use a higher octane than spec if i think their gas is watered down. but for the most part i use the specified octane because that's what the engine was built for, and anything higher seems like a waste.
>>
>>16316432
I only put in premium if I'm going to be riding in the mountains, it seems to run a bit better pulling up steep grades.

I've been riding almost half a year, coldest so far was low 30's at 50-60mph, I was able to get by with
>lower body
thermal pants, adidas track pants, thick work pants, wool socks, hiking boots
>upper body
thermal shirt, flannel, sweatshirt, textile jacket (same I wear in summer), turtlefur neck, cheap winter gloves
on a dual sport with no fairings

People recommend heated grips but I'm too lazy, I'll probably buy a set of handlebar mittens. Might switch turtlefur for balaclava.

On the bright side of riding in the cold, I get a rush after a long ride and it feels fuckin good. And while my friends complain about their AC not working in their car, I'm thinking it's warm as hell because I'm not being pelted with icy wind.

who knew you needed two slanted headlight lenses to be functional

can't get those sick aeros with one round one in the center. or wait, you can, but you have to make it a funky code gayass shape so it's still edgy.

also can't make the rear end level or it might look good

Quintessence by Bill Evans. Not his best album, I like Undercurrents more, but it's still good
Also, that's what you get for having a YouTube channel tbqh. I dont really care, I like the vids, but you gotta expect it honestly. Half the people here know my name, but everyones pretty cool so I don't mind

Separate bulbs for high/low beams are better than a single bulb, so its functional. Its like never gone more than 80mph at night. Probably because you don't how a bike.
