I used to cycle a lot when I was younger and I'd do it instinctively. Try to take a turn at 20mph~ and pulling the bars to the direction of the turn doesn't work as well as it does at low speed. Push the bars out a bit and the bike leans over to the direction of your turn.
When I first heard about counter steering in regards to motorcycles I didn't really understand what it was until I figured out I had already been doing it most of my adult life.

It's not a matter of pulling wheels out of alignment it's a matter of shifting your weight in the direction you're turning. If you want to explain it outright you have to use really specific language since its not a matter of leaning body weight.

Your wheels are gyroscopes in a straight line. The faster they are spinning the stronger their gyroscopic stability. If you want to make a right turn at speed, you initially slightly push the right handle bar forward instead of pulling it backward towards you. Doing this changes the contact patch of the tire. If you push the right bar forward you create a slight instability, and the bike will lean to the right side to try and compensate for the gyroscopes now being out of alignment. Those gyroscopes want to be upright no matter what. Push them out of alignment and they will lean in an attempt to correct. That is counter steering.

No one really cares m8. They are fun little pit bikes that are street legal, low maintenance, and generally fun as fuck. Sure they are a little expensive, but the guys I've seen having the most fun are the guys in the Grom crews racing around doing 50 mph and wheelieng in parking lots. I personally wouldn't buy one (maybe in the future I will buy one and do a 250 or a 450 swap) but I can see the silly appeal of them.

Road position is key too, make sure you're in the right spots for turns and bends in the road. It should all be common sense, like changing position so a car in a side road can see you before they pull out. Or if you're behind a truck or lorry.

For beginners they tell you to stay centre-left (or centre-right in the US) in your lane, but for advanced riders the best position is as close to the centre as possible.

DBT IT'S HABBENING MY MOTORCYCLE HABIT IS GETTING OUT OF CONTROL

Saw this 1998 CBR600 for 900€ today. Young dude is selling it in a hurry because he's moving to France literally this Tuesday.

Tyres are spotless. Chain is almost brand new. Impressively either it was masked very well or no signs of being dropped/crashed. No apparent carb issues. Faults found: rear brake light switch is broken. 8€ fix.

I'm gonna be /threebike/ while I sell my twofiddy. I'll report with pictures tomorrow afternoon.

Also I'm on vacation for two weeks as of today.

It's not only a matter of single vs dual. For instance, I have a single disk bike I really have to squeeze the tits out of the lever to stop, but I can always lock the front if I want. I have a dual disc bike I can stop with much less lever pressure, and comparatively on a sports bike you have to be very conservative with the brakes as the stopping power is enormous, you barely have to push the lever to stop in regular traffic. Most brakes if properly set up are usually enough to stop the bike you're riding.
