Why are stripped down cars becoming harder to find in North America? Only pickup trucks can be had with manual locks, mirrors, etc. and without things like air conditioning.
Something about the Civic DX feels right to me. No radio, no A/C, manual adjustments for everything. They are so hard to find in the used market.
