Which one would you rather have /o/, 1995 Buick Roadmaster Wagon or 1997 2dr GMC Yukon 4x4? Would use both for light towing, road/camping trips, and driving to work.
Both cost $4000 and have the same mileage (~140k). Both have tow packages, no rust, straight bodys, good paint, and perfect interiors.
I'm having trouble deciding as I can see some pros and cons to both. Mainly Yukon gains 4x4 but is a little slower, less mpg, and slightly less usable cargo space.
get the roadmaster and turbo it
>>15345341
Get the Roadmaster.
Roadmaster motherfucker.
Woody wagons are cool. Older GM wagons are cool. LT1s are cool.
Get the Roadmaster. If someone doesn't think it's cool, you don't need to talk to them anymore.
ITT we post happy cars
Ill give someone else the opportunity to post miata

Certain foxbodies look cheerful as fuck.

god damn it the GTR shitposters have arrived.
Just a reminder that the GTR gets BTFO by a 2 year older, $30K cheaper Viper.
What kind of car attracts girls?
Please be general and vague, don't be an autist and believe for a second that some cunt will give a shit how much horsepower your car makes.
modern luxury sedans, coupes, suvs
>>15345170
a clean car. bonus if its an old car that looks like it just rolled off the showroom, but isnt obnoxious with an open exhaust
Girls don't like cars.
But if you want a girl to like a car, it should be a new BMW.
What resources can I use to learn more about cars? Stuff like which ones are/were good/bad and what made them that way, as well as actual mechanics of cars.
Literally anywhere but here.

Lmfao, this x1000.
Just google the shit you want, watch Scotty Kilmer, and go to specific forums for specific cars if you have questions and use the search function. That's how I solve 99% of my shit.

On a related note, where to do I learn to be a better driver? Like so I can drive back roads more aggressively
besides anything you can fit a bed in (I.E. minivans, buses, trucks, etc) what is the best car to fuck in?
I've had a few experiences in a few different coupe's and sedans like a honda CR-V and a dodge dart but whats the best option out there?
Honda Element, it's easy to clean.

So earlier today a cowboy who had ridden from Montana was pulled over and given 2 tickets for trespassing and impeding traffic because he rode his horse over the Outerbridge Crossing. I hate New York so much times, the guy has ridden his horse 3/4 of the way across the country and NY gives him tickets. The doesn't deserve tickets, he deserves their respect.
On the bright side he didn't have to pay the $15 toll because the tolls are only for motor vehicles.

>>15344660
honestly, its a shit job, you drive for days on end if youre doing long distance, barely get to be home, and the pay is shit, since it requires no degrees just a license.
Ok, /o/.
I just recently did an oil change on a friends truck. He has a 1990 c/k 1500 5.0 engine.
Right after I changed the oil and the oil filter he handed me some synthetic oil to refill.
I didn't see it at first, but I added it. And when he started it, some white smoke started coming out the engine.
I was thinking it was the synthetic pushing out the old mineral based oil, but now im kinda worried I fucked his truck'.
Is this normal? Will eventually the smoke go away? If it is a problem, should I add a solvent or something, and do another oil change with mineral oil again?
Much thanks in advance.
(Pic related, looks like the stuff coming out the exhaust)
>>15344537
Test to see if the head gasket is OK.
>>15344537
Sounds like oil is leaking into the exhaust somewhere.
90% not your fault if this is the case, probably just the fact that its a 26 year old piece of shit engine.
Check to see if there are dark spots near the head gasket, like dried up dirt and oil.
>>15344580
The way the truck is built, the oil filter is kind of close to the exhaust manifold. Is it possible when I took the filter off, some of the oil could have leaked on the exhaust pipe?
just went and looked at this 1986 f150 4x4 with a fuel injected 302. No rust just peeling paint. Is this worth getting for $1800
Only if you are going to restore it. By restore I mean you actually have the money on hand and the intention to have it restored not dreams of restoring it.
>>15344458
>Bullnose Ford 4x4 with the 302
>$1800
Yeah, it is.
>>15344458
Make sure the 4x works- like lock in the hubs in a dirt lot and have a friend watch the tires .
Good truck overall.
86 is first year of efi. Mas (speed density) not maf (air volume- like the 87-93 mustang guys have) so not as good to tune.
What engine?
What trim package? Can't tell if badge says xlt or xl.
Guessing xl by the bumper.
Just found out I have a huge opportunity to start a company. There's a graphic design company in my city that my girlfriend is essentially inheriting. They do all kinds of things, most notably vinyl wraps for business vehicles. My plan is to take that service, and change the context to suit car culture and start doing pearl/satin/matte/chrome wraps on cars. Wraps are, for the most part, pretty expensive. So my idea is to start small, reach a good quality level at a fair price and then when a decent amount of business picks up and reputation is good, just go full blown and open a shop with it. Only problem is I have no experience with wrapping, and I know next to nothing about it. I'm currently an auto tech working 40 hour work weeks and I've always wanted to be my own boss and have a busines. Anyone on here own a wrap business or experienced in that field? What are some things I should avoid and some things I won't be able to go without? Thanks for any help.
Just to clarify, your girlfriend is inheriting an operating business with a built up customer base, and your plan, even though you know nothing about the business, is to change the business into something else that you also don't know anything about, and your first thought is to ask 4chan
>>15344258
from what i understand its not that hard with the right tools
its taking the shit apart and putting it back together uniformly where shits gets real, really quick
practice on hoods and move up from there
>>15344283
Same here. It doesn't look that complicated, but I can't figure out why the cost is so high if labor isn't super intensive. From what I've seen on the commercial vehicles, you stretch a giant sticker over it and then go over the gaps with a razor blade and fold the excess. Then boom, you have a wrap.
New to this board, sorry if this is not an appropriate use of posting/ if theres a advice general thread
Looking to buy a car for harsh canadian winter.
budget is 5-7K CAD
Found this mustang
2002, 137K
, older model, but relatively low KM's
Listed for about 5200, i think it looks like a good deal. As far as i know ford parts are pretty easy to come buy.
Also been cautioned that mustangs are bad in winter due to RWD?
Definitely not a car expert, but figured mustangs wouldn't be that bad of a winter driver.
Any others with similar experience offer any insight?

Anyway I enjoy driving it is fast as fuck but here is the problem, everytime I stop in a gas station there's always someone telling me how "I got a friend that have a car with that is faster" or I got a friend that own a gt500 too he's pushing 2000hp bla blah
I'm a quiet guy aka autism what will be the best reply when a douchbag approach me with the "my friend" line
