What kind of music does he get down to?
Loli-speedcore
Is Burzum considered "Patrician"? I've heard some say Burzum is otherworldly and some say Burzum sucks.
>>74709034
Burzum's good
>>74709034
No. He planted the seeds of blackgays and other "intellectual" black metal.
>>74709034
Burzum is probably the best atmoblack of all time. Considering how shit the genre is, that doesn't say much.
But honestly, Varg's early stuff is great. Everyone knows Filosofem at this point, but Hvis lyset tar oss is arguably even better and his other 90's metal is great. Most contrarians are just people who don't want to accept that le evil nazi man made good music.
What's your ultimate misery song, /mu/?
Which feels or moments have been (emotionally) attached to it? Please share the context/story.
Will reply with mine.
For me it's Lorn - Acid Rain

>have worst week of my life as my fiancee confesses to infidelity
>decide to pull the plug and break up with her
>she goes to her parents for the weekend while I pack my things
>try to put some music on, but everything is shit now
>find the song that fits the mood, and listen to it on repeat while I pack my things
>go through all our belongings, all our memories, and leave behind the life I thought I was building up with her
It devastated me on such a deep profound level, and anytime I listen to that song now, it brings me right back to the despair I felt as I was separating my belongings from hers. It's been a couple of months now, and I've healed a bit so far, but a lot of the pain is still there. The song is forever imprinted into me as this anchor of misery, and maybe I should cherish that in its own morbid way.
Still can't believe I am where I am now, though. I miss her. I want her back. ...I need to stop listening to it.

It isn't really ultimate misery, but it gets me every time I listen to it; its more about the melancholy of realizing your own mortality and how finite your life is. I ended up seeing Chris Knight without a band at a bar in the city I'm from, and went in thinking it would be a bit of a snooze fest and was absolutely blown away by how hard his songs hit home.

This one is pretty great too, its a cover of Robert E Keen's Undone.

While I was about to get kicked out of engineering I'd also listen to him as the degenerate, destructive drunk that I was when I went in. Also, I hate country for the most part.
Radiohead - Daydreaming
I guess I'm not really in the mood to get all in my feelings right now but it might be the most depressing song I have
wtf there are dogs on the cover
I thought it was a coat for a long time.
so what
does this cover imply she's fucking the dogs?
thugger/slugger edition
Who is Young Thug's bias?
post our egg
and you need new eyes! you know who
Anyone else sorta love this album? It's not one of their best or anything but I just love how somber and different it is compared to the rest of the beatlemania stuff at the time
This album, and it's U.S. counterpart, Beatles 65 are GOAT!
Mellow, folky Beatles = Best Beatles.

Ah, there we go.
Would it be difficult to make music using pic related?
anyone can make music
Yeah, if you don't have hands or ears or something, it would be rather difficult.
>>74708833
Yes but once you learn how to use a synth you can use anything.
>that spaghetti western part in The Dead Flag Blues
it could be a soundtrack to a Clint Eastwood flick and it would fit perfectly
Fuck it Weezer - Only in dreams. I really loved the ending. Not a huge fan of the genre but loved this album a lot and this ending summed it up for me to why I do.

Why is this board so painfully fucking shit? How is it that everyone here has abhorrent taste? I came here expecting a music forum not a pop music and porn forum. Why are the mods so lazy? Are they even getting paid? Because if they are they should be fucking fired for not doing their job. The main problem is all you people's reluctance to advance your taste. I can go to any other music forum and get the exact same if not more real music discussion than I can here.
You have to stick to the generals to get meaningful discussions now.

literal dead animals are being posted and nobody's doing anything. Just abandon ship like most people already have

What, where?
i'm from Argentina and now there's a lot of niggers and kids who make trap
is it like that in the us/eu?
>>74708686
No. There's a huge smooth jazz revival among millennials here in the States.
Prove you're not a pleb and write a review of the last jazz album you listened to. Doesn't matter how long or short, just put forth some opinion about the album and explain your opinion.
You're not a pleb are you?
>>74708646
i listened to It's Time and I really liked it anon :)
This is Kenny G's greatest album, before he started watering down the material he chose on future efforts with the same watery ballad style over and over again. While the songs were obviously meant to be played on smooth jazz radio more than other smooth jazz artists I could name, 'Breathless' has a handful of interesting and sometimes sensual ballads. Aside from 'Forever in Love,' my favorite song on this CD would have to be 'End of the Night,' with its gripping, sexually arousing melody.
The rest of the album has its moments, even though I can live without 'In the Rain.' Jesus Christ. It's a great album by any means, and it's certainly on par with such greats as Ohm and What's Going On. It's fucking amazing unmistakablylate eighties/early nineties smooth jazz. I honestly have no idea where this absolute hatred of it comes from that people usually perceive with it.

patrician desu
the whole "all smooth jazz is gay lol" meme is dumb
How do you get back into the habit of songwriting? When I first started playing it was like someone had opened up a faucet, and now it's completely dry.
Any tips?
actually sit down and work on shit instead of getting fed up that its not turning out the way you wanted and giving up
idk im not particularly good at it
most of the times I just try stuff out on guitar, try some odd chord shapes and apply my limited musical theory knowledge to fill it up with some harmonies and shit
I basically do random stuff and see what sticks
the music theory part is oftentimes quite resourceful for working out this "random stuff" into something tangible, so I suppose that is my tip
