Burzum is probably the best atmoblack of all time. Considering how shit the genre is, that doesn't say much.
But honestly, Varg's early stuff is great. Everyone knows Filosofem at this point, but Hvis lyset tar oss is arguably even better and his other 90's metal is great. Most contrarians are just people who don't want to accept that le evil nazi man made good music.
