It'll still sound better than what it sounded like on your shitty earbuds, it's just won't capitalize on the music to the same extent. If you listen to any amount of good sounding music, some decent headphones or speakers are a must if you actually consider yourself into music.

Few albums better summarize the spirit of the 1990s than The Downward Spiral (1994).
