getting executed in Rio de Janeiro, brodie

Grin seems interesting
RYM calls it groove metal so it must be fun
Who here still uses classic Winamp and keeps things super old-school?

I tend to organize songs chronologically rather than alphabetically.

Is this worth it, /mu/? I've been producing for about six years now, I'd say I'm intermediate to advanced (I'd just say I'm advanced but I've never had formal training about production so I might not know technical stuff that I should know—dithering, more complex processes in Ableton or Kontakt, maybe some physics stuff about sound waves we didn't learn in high school, recording/micing complications, etc.). I make IDM already, went through a long EDM phase so I can make Monstercat-tier EDM without batting an eye. It's $90 but is it worth it? If it can teach me important things I should know (and I know Joel is qualified for this kind of stuff) I might buy it, but if it's meant for beginners my money could be better spent elsewhere. Has anyone else checked this out or know anything about it?

He made sure to get all of his cool tattoos in the pic huh?
>>69816172
Anyone?
>>69816172
Looking at the ad, I think it's directed at beginners. I think he says something about getting from nothing to something.
What's the your favorite song name?
Mine is "I Was a Prisoner In Your Skull" by Swans
>>69815989
fuck, ignore this "the"
bump
come on guys, it takes you 10 seconds to write a song name
A Conjunction of Drones Simulating the Way In Which Sufjan Stevens Has an Existential Crisis In the Great Godfrey Maze
CLIMBING UP THE WAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLSSSS
This is not a very good meme. The cheap photo manipulation really spoils it too, feels like it's just one person doing it

I'm going to fuck your mother
>>69815939
We're going to rape your butthole
which musician do you suspect has the most toxic personality, /mu/?
I personally have a sneaking suspicion of Annie Clark aka St. Vincent being an overwhelmingly insufferable human being behind her meme persona
I hear one of the interviews she gave left such a bitter taste in the interviewers mouth that he swore to never listen to any of her music ever again
YOU FUCKING POSTED THIS ALREADY
Who cares. New album out in Spring. Can't wait.

ITT: Post anti-/mu/core albums. meaning what albums would get recommended on a music forum that is the polar opposite of this board?
Hard mode: they still have to be good/critically acclaimed
>>69815591
Switch the heads and titles of each of those two people and it's actually accurate
Lemonade would probably be AOTY on anti-mu
>>69815591
Sleater-Kinney would be more talked about than other 90s rock acts
GIMME THAT ZEE
underrated song desu
Make me love me!
I love it

Where were you when you realized this is their best album?
>anything but Confusion is Sex
>best
evol was the last good thing they did
EVOL and Sister were best.
The critical reception of this album is why I hate music journalism. All you have to do to achieve critical acclaim these days is have lyrics that tick off enough socially progressive topics. When we reduce our judgement of lyrics to nothing more than the topics discussed in the lyrics, we discredit albums with socially progressive lyrics that are actually good. This album is no where near the top 25 records this year, yet I've seen it on almost every critics list. What the actual fuck? It's just shitty dance music with edgy hamfisted political lyrics handled with the grace of a bull in a china shop.
huh?
huh?
Great, something brand new to discuss on /mu/

Excuse me
What's mu's thoughts on pop punk?
there's a lot of garbage like All Time Low, The Academy Is, and Boys Like Girls
The All American Rejects are mediocre
but there's some really good normie bands like blink-182, Green Day, MCR, NOFX, pre-breakup FoB, Sum 41, Paramore, and +44 in there.
Panic! makes good pop music.
some other pop punk bands would include The Descendents, Bad Religion, Goldfinger, Guttermouth, Pinhead Gunpowder, Streetlight Manifesto, Milliencolin, Pennywise, Foxboro Hottubs, Box Car Racer, and Alkaline Trio.
just stay clear of the garbage and you'll be fine.
>>69814780
Your Favorite Weapon by Brand New is a quality Pop Punk album
>>69814910
pretty good list/assessment except that MCR, Sum 41 and Paramore belong in the mediocre section and AAR is slightly less than mediocre but not terrible.
