Whoever runs the universe, whether it be God, Kek, Haruhi or any other god.
Please get rid this motherfucker, he killed punk and took a massive shit on it's corpse.
i second this
Shitty post OP but I recently talked to a pretty dedicated Green Day fan (despite that hes 22)
>Say something about Green Day being an ok pop-punk band
>"No they're not pop punk, they've explained in interviews that they hate that word"
>That doesn't mean they're not pop punk though?
>"No their music is closer to early blues and rock and rolll"
>lol no they're not, they're just every other pop punk band. Like Descendents and Screeching Weasel
>"They were around before pop punk was even coined"
>That doesn't mean they aren't a pop punk band and there is nothing wrong with being a pop punk band either
>He looks at me and says "You clearly don't know enough about the subject" and then walks out the room
He also loves Doctor Who and Star Wars so I'm not surprised by his complete denial and repulsion of criticism but jfc, people who listen to these kinds of bands religiously into their twenties need to grow up

sounds like you're in the wrong here desu
Why did the 80s fucking destroy every artist who was fantastic in the 60s and 70s, or at the very least relegate them to mediocrity?
David Bowie, Billy Joel, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon until Graceland, Stevie Wonder to some extent
Inability to adapt to the new sounds?
Pic related is most representative of this trend I think, especially after the Stranger, 52nd Street, and Glass Houses
80's production

*late 80s
Billy's early 80s albums are all fantastic. He didn't start sucking till 86.

quite funny how some came back in the 90's: Dylan and Bowie, respectively. man, you're definitely right about a lot of the old guard having a decade-long slump in the 80's.

Why do people hate this album?
I know it's not as good as others classic NIN albums but it feels good to listen to. It was the album that got me into nine inch nails. I guess it's because it's the easiest album do digest but it doesn't mean it's bad.
All The Love in the World stills gives me chills when the piano at the end begins. With Teeth, The Hand that Feeds and Only are so good and the last three songs feels so genuine and beautiful. It has it flaws but it's not bad.
>>69860240
With Teeth's only sin is that it wasn't Bleedthrough, it felt like a belated cop-out upon release.
People don't hate it, though, it was the gateway for most younger fans, not just you. Year Zero gets a lot more undeserved crap, it's really underrated nowadays.
With Teeth's ending Right Where It Belongs just brings me to tears every time, that ending piano seems like a relief of all the pain and suffering Trent went through The Fragile era. The fact album ends on it adds so much strenght to it.
It's an amazing album, it is getting appreaction now, but before people were all over it to hate it due to how different was, that happens to literally every single release of NIN ever because Trent always changes it up.
hey man, nice shot.
Will this be remembered as the biggest cringefest of the 2010s?
>>69860187
No.
well I mean it's actually pretty good so no.
No but the 2016 election results will be the greatest cringe fest in human history
