Danger days may have been retarded but at least it wasn't pretentious as fuck
Does he actually not listen to albums entirely before reviewing them?
I heard that on here a couple times and I just want to know if it's BS or not.
>>69937329
He says here that he rarely listens to an album more than once before rating it and sometimes will not even completely finish an album before giving it a rating.

I think that Thom Yorke makes some of the best /bleep/ in the world.
TKOL, The Eraser, Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, some bits of Amok (especially the song) and a lot of Thom's one off remixes and single electronic songs are some of my favorite music.
I think that he needs to make more.
My soul needs it.

yea i agree, duvall isnt as good as layne but its a good aic album, i feel like duvall is a good singer but not exactly a fit to the sound of aic
>>69936898
The songwriting was surprisingly strong but I really hated the over-compressed production, felt like they lost some of the murky texture that was central to AIC's sound.
this was really damn good too imo

The Story of 53
I know /mu/ hates twenty one pilots, but their first album is actually worth a listen
Also fuck you, I like it
>>69936719
No offense, anon, but if you seriously think 21 pilots is great music then I wouldn't go around trumpeting your tastes too much.
I mean, it's got a lot of cool sounds to it, but that's pretty much it in terms of content. There's no form, no flow. No apparent INTENTION behind what you're hearing other than to just sound cool - just a bunch of cool sounds someone decided to slap together (which is about as far from the most positive aspects of Grimes' music as you can get.)
>>69936719
you mean, actually not worth a listen
>>69936719
Thank Christ, I've been saying this for years.
Why is rap/hip-hop so cringey?
>70-IQ people talking about the same couple of lyrical themes over slight variations of the same couple of beats that have been used for many years
Why is Metal so cringey?
>>69936495
>666-IQ people growling about killing people over recycled shredding riffs that are indistinguishable from each other
Is there any good music?
>>69936376
Yes, my son...
There is.

All Star by Smash Mouth
Is there any music?
The fact that so many /kpg/-ers still name Crayon Pop as "the greatest or most beautiful or most musical" female kpop group ever only tells you how far /kpg/ still is from becoming a serious board. /bleep/ posters have long recognized that the greatest electronic musicians of all times are Frankie Knuckles and William Bevan, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. /hiphop/ posters rank the highly controversial Kendrick Lamar over Kanye West who was highly popular in courts around Europe. /kpg/ posters are still blinded by Bar Bar Bar's success. Crayon Pop made more retarded music videos than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must be the greatest. /metal/ posters grew up listening to a lot of metal musicians of the past, /jp/ posters grew up fapping to a lot of Seiko Matsuda. /kpg/ fappers are often totally ignorant of the groups of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Crayon Pop did anything worthy of being fapped to.
