What do you guys think of X?
I think he's a talented dude but is insanely misguided. He'll either end up dead, killing someone, in prison, or actually successful.
He has potential but doesn't really have a coherent style. He has a couple of super-aggressive trap songs, a couple of Lil Uzi worship songs, and some where it's just generic trap but with the bass blown out.
He needs to release a consistent and high-quality mixtape instead of singles where it's a total crapshoot of styles, most of which he's not good at.
I do hope that extreme industrial trap catches on as a sub genre though.

He's got boom bap shit and even grunge/punk rock shit. Which is why I like his shit a lot. He's got really ignorant trap songs, but then some really personal darker songs too. The kid's got range, which really sets him apart from all these niggas right now.
Listening to this you cant even tell it's the same dude who made 'look at me'

The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.
