Go for what ever you want man. I play bass, albeit poorly, but I do find it helps me relax and destress. There's a calming effect of getting Into a groove but also focusing on precision. I'd imagine guitar or drums would be a lot more intense focus

i always played bass in rock band, and while i know it doesnt translate directly, i loved getting into the groove of a song. as well, its something that not everyone plays, like guitar, but is still applicable to the music scene. as well, i listen to a lot of music with strong basslines, and thats usually what i get stuck in my head.

I listened to it and I liked it. I couldn't care less what critics think.

Nothing wrong with a bad album if he was trying something new, that's how musicians learn and hone their craft. His trial and error allowed him release some of the greatest albums of all time.
