Why don't musicians just end the Grammies? This shitty beauty pageant thinly disguised as an art awards show is:
>a massive leech on the music scene that wastes the time of gullible artists like Chance the Rapper and causes artists to rush out their albums before October each year
>offers no actual gains to the music scene since they just award the highest selling artists
>keep up appearances by 1. essentially giving a "lottery prize" to a more obscure artist each year, like Sturgill Simpson, who isn't even any better than the pop artists anyway, and 2. doing the bare minimum to keep up with SJW criticism so young libs will keep watching
>everyone who isn't a massive pleb or an industry pawn recognizes that they have no integrity

If the 20 highest selling American artists boycotted the Grammies one year the whole show would flounder and we'd be free of this outdated high society drivel. Look at these two artists who won big at the Grammies. Have they done anything to advance music as an art form?

People will boycott it until they get an award.
Watch frank ocean flip the second they throw him something.

awards keep you relevant and get work as a top 20
>>
>>70971490

As soon as the spirit of egotism begins to prevail among a people then the bonds of the social order break and man, by seeking his own personal happiness, veritably tumbles out of heaven and falls into hell.

I strongly doubt you've listened to every song ever made in 1967, specifically because such a thing is not possible.
