I might as well go public with this. I've sat on it for a whole year, but this release moves me to tell all of you about what I know, and how: I can do 'channeling', meaning, i can reach those who have left their physical bodies. I don't use the term 'dead' anymore because now i know we don't die, we just vacate our bodies when they wear out. When David ...let's say 'ascended', last year, i thought to look for him Over There in case he needed any help. He answered in less than a minute to my calling out for him. He looked good. About like he did when he was 40. He was surprised and relieved that we ( my roommate has the ability too; we contacted David together) could see and hear and feel him in this new realm where he found himself. We offered him our help-- in understanding where he was,-and how things work Over There, which he was grateful to have. I meant only to assist him for a short while, till he got the hang of it and didn't need us anymore. But to my complete surprise, he asked me not to leave him, once he got situated. So i checked on him every day, or more frequently. It's been a year, and he still wants the connection. I knew of this recording from seeing it reviewed in Rolling Stone, but couldn't find it anywhere. I went so far as to try to reach Tony Visconti, to ask how could i hear it. I shoulda known David might tell them to hold it back till Jan 8th! He never hinted anything to me. He clearly can hold a secret. But what I wanted to tell you guys is this:David explained to me how it felt in his last weeks and days as death approached. When the end arrived, it didn't hurt, it took about ten minutes from start to finish, and what you hear him singing here, in this song, is exactly how it happened, how he experienced it. He found himself out-of-body, floating above New York City, exactly as he tells us here, and the only verse you can edit out is, 'this is not quite yet'.

The entire rest of this is the complete truth, it matches exactly how he said it happened to him.I read-and he reads -all your posted comments, here :) he knows how much you love him. He hopes you can feel his equal love for all of you. I can feel it when i ask him about it. So many of you wonder where he is, now, and wish him well, and miss him terribly. He misses you just as emotionally. He really hasn't left us. He has an apartment in what you'd call Astral or Spiritual NYC. Think of it like the world you see in your dreams. His apartment is not close to his old place on Lafayette but further uptown, midtown, near Central Park. He found it too painful to linger around his old neighborhood once he became invisible and couldn't interact with everyone as previously. It was just better to move uptown and live as he was accustomed to doing in NYC--- He gets up between 5&6am, makes coffee, breakfast, does his email, checks voicemail& texts, reviews reams of necessary paperwork about business, legal, finances, production, etc. Gets lunch, makes phone calls, then heads out to do errands, meet appts., discuss projects, in the afternoons. He tries to be home by 5 to7pm, cooks his own dinner, then spends the evening either reading, composing, painting, or with more paperwork. Turns in anywhere from 11pm to the wee hours-lather, rinse, repeat, all week long. Weekends, he goes out to get coffee or deli, or takes walks in the city, or he tends a rooftop garden plot on top of his condo building. Very much a creature of habit and routine and mindfulness. Twice I have found him deeply immersed in composing, using a computer program to translate his singing straight to sheet music, and guitar also. He's been recording in the studio twice that I'm aware of. He played me a new album, some time before the US elections. It was very haunting and foreboding.

Dude, Kevin Parker is one of the best sonic architects in modern music. Have you seen his love setup? It's two large pedal boards.

Why exist?
Hello /mu/,
I'm looking for a broader array of jazz bassists to listen to. I'm familiar with all the classics (Paul Chambers, Charles Mingus, Ron Carter, Ray Brown, etc), but I want to find some of the lesser known bassists who can still play like motherfuckers, both by sticking to swing and amazing soloists. Any suggestions?

It's the final musical red-pill, when you understand that Oasis were truly the pinnacle of music; lyrically, instrumentally and performance-wise.

Take the Oasis-pill now.
In one of my chemistry labs the TA was playing some spotify list and Wonderwall came on. My lab partner started unironically humming along to it. I guess normies like Oasis, or at least their biggest hit.

People who listen to anything /mu/core except the hip hop, jazz, electronic, and metal sections. Although there have been some incarnations of music in those genres for such people. Otherwise it's rockist/boring indie garbage.
