Why does /mu/ like this album so much?
>>71305705
Its generally liked, not just by /mu/.
Its pretty innovative and it inspired a lot of modern memerap.
>>71305705
It's a collaboration between a top tier rapper and one of the best producers to ever live. What's not to like?
>>71305815
That also describes Dangerdoom and that was not very great.
I'm a balding musician. How much will it hurt my career? I look so beta.
>>71305612
Just own it for fucks sake
>>71305612
Go skinhead and play for the growing /pol/ crowd and be really ironic
>>71305634
How does one own ugliness?
Do you think this is a good song outside of its meme status?
It's about as good as Superman - Goldfinger.
>>71305511
So it's god tier.
Any of you ever switch out album coves in your library?
Some covers are just so un-aesthetically pleasing, I find myself looking for alternative ones.
cmon bru you gotta contemplate the bad art as you listen
yeah
>>71305424
u saying drunk cover is unaesthetically pleasing
Is this list still applicable to /mu/?
>>71305372
Who cares, stop being a drone
>>71305397
Calm down, it's just a thread to see if /mu/core has changed, you don't have to get into a fit over it
>>71305372
Replace Illinoise with Carrie and lowell, also add in grimes and its pretty accurate.

There's a severe lack of DAW descriptions in the wiki. If you're good with your tool of choice, consider writing a paragraph about it.

Remember to use clyp.it to post your tracks/WIP: posting a clyp.it is just providing sound for a question, posting a Soundcloud link is making self-advertisement and the thread doesn't need that.
heyyy /prod/, nice to see you. here an easy ass beat straight out the mpc looking for suggestions. have fun

Hard mode: The album is actually good
this was posted a lot back in the day, kill yourself
>>71304978
Why does everyone hate it?
>>71304966
Because it's not very good anyway, and Roger fanboys have a hissy fit because Roger's not on it so it must be shit
>>71305026
Roger was way better at songwriting than Gilmour
>>71305314
Division Bell is better than The Wall and The Final Cut
Is there a bigger hack in music today (besides Grimes)?

I'm not sure you fully grasp the meaning of the word 'hack' tbph. Please don't take this the wrong way OP, but you need to eat shit and die.
Starting to look at the massive pool of jazz records but it's somewhat confusing as to where to start
I've listened to the main entry level 3 and some early miles davis. The entry level jazz musicians like davis and coltrane have massive discographies and I really want to know if it's worth me listening to all of or most of them.
Is it better for me to listen to more artists or more complete discographies?
Recs very welcome
>>71304845
artists with larger discographies usually can be divided into periods where they change their sound. It really depends whether you like an artist's composing/bandleading abilities enough to want to explore them further, or whether you want to try different artists. In the latter case, it's always a safe way to check out headlining albums by people that play a lot with the artists you're already familiar with. Coltrane can get you into Tyner or Pharoah, and so forth

Thanks
The types of jazz are important in finding Jazz you like. What >>71305070 said. Free Jazz? Hard Bop? Modal? Cool? Listen to the essentials for some types of jazz and go form there.
Is there anything else to expand this list?
