Hey, /mu/.
Some time ago I saw a white rapper mentioned in one of the threads. He was wearing a ski mask and was holding another one in his hand on a photo. Can't seem to find him. I do remember that his vocals sounded pretty deep though. I think he was European.

The only decent track on this album is Altar Of Sacrifice. Too much of this album is just palm muted tremolo picking for it to be that heavy or intense, it's really just the drumming that makes it seem so, and even then it's not standout among the crazy fast and hard hitters in the genre.
>>71377984
Most of it is trash to be honest apart from the first and last track.
>>71377999
First and last tracks are thrash too.
What are the 5 best post-punk albums? Not the most popular or your favorite, the objective best. For me it's probably the most appealing genre but I haven't really scratched the surface.
Public Image Ltd. - Metal Box
Wire - Chairs Missing
Gang of Four - Entertainment!
The Cure - Porrnography
Bauhaus - In The Flat Field
I'm no thorough historian on post-punk or anything but based on what I've heard I'd probably say these, and at least a couple of them are probably duly justified in the grand scheme of things. At a minimum, I don't think anyone would knock me for listing Metal Box.
Fearful symmetry from Daniel Amos is amazing, it doesn't sound like post punk, but that's intentional, because all the concepts behind post punk are beyond the sound itself...
Rather ripped was amazing aswell, the sound is just too good.
And even if it's stupid to list something so obvious, unkown pleasures is just godly, just had to say it.
Disintegration from the Cure.
And I can't just say 5 albums so I'll leave it here, there's so many good post punk out there.
>complex, jazzy bits with funky/dub rhythms
The Pop Group - Y
>clashing multi guitar parts (sometimes even polyphonic) along with ambient/proto industrial synth parts
Pere Ubu - The Modern Dance (or their singles before this album)
>each track starts off with a catchy hook before getting more dense and convoluted; almost like the equivalent of Bach in post-punk
Wire - 154
>the minimalism art music trend of the time entering post-punk along with dub-like grooves
Public Image Ltd. - Metal Box
>The epitome of emotional post-punk, done in a very cool medieval gothic style
The Cure - Disintegration
other one is comatose

My new album is pretty close to finished at this point but lacks any vocals or lyrics, so I'm going to at least attempt some demos. I'm pretty excited to release the new album though, I like every track on the album this time.

I think p4k is mad because there is a genre they have 0 influence over
http://archive.is/NhWLH#selection-3141.0-3141.4
>starts with some kinda prog stoner Mastodon/Pallbearer ripoff band
>then talks about a band that's indie pop shit but with some heavy sound drones
>then some shit about "you gotta innovate but not too much"
>some same-old-shit stuff like Foreseen, Gruesome, and The Mist
>Goddamn Power Trip
>Advertising Judas Priest's Turbo...
>MOTHERFUCKING TURBO, ONE OF THEIR WORST ALBUMS LMAO
>Just because it got released anniversary edition
>Then ends with a barely doom mostly goth rock band, and some Mayhem book
Holy shit, how can someone know less about the genre than the other already awful metal publications out there? May read up on this in archive just because at this point it's at least bad enough to be entertaining shitshow levels.
