Talk about how you feel about Red Hot Chili Peppers.
I want to talk about the first three albums.
i like them
they write the same 2 songs over and over again and have been getting away with it for 25 years
Are there any interesting musicians to follow on social media? Asking for a friend.

Has anyone played Rocket League, it has one of the greatest electronic soundtracks I have ever heard.

Like Don't Stop the Party is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. The vocal chops on the drop, the bass, the drums, unique synths. Its just orgasmic
GOAT song for GOAT game

2. Fireworks
3. Fireworks Melad Remix
4. Seeing What's Next (Kevin Frey Remix)
5. Solar Eclipses
6. Breathing Underwater
7. the rest

Real talk I've been playing games for 20 years and Rocket League is objectively the best I've ever played. Closest a game can ever feel to a spot/real life game y'know? I got 700 hours in this bitch and can't imagine it ever getting boring

Was losin' all my friends...
... IDM, glitch, noise, microsound, ambient, drone, power electronics, etc
I'm looking to expand my musical taste more. Logically, what would be the next genre to explore after getting well acquainted with the above listed genres? Electroacoustic?
I understand the listed genres aren't necessarily related, but they seem to (generally speaking) produce more challenging (and in turn, rewarding) works.
Album recs? I'd prefer something relatively accessible so I'm not too overwhelmed.

What are /mu/'s thoughts on 00s music?
In my eyes:
2000-2006 Awesome
2006-2009 Sucked
Indie rock was a fucking joke.
what was that cartoon that had a crossover with Totally Spies? I think it was about supernatural shit and monsters or something. There was a caveman or some shit

What's the first song you listened to, /mu/?
Probably a Beatles song
i'm deaf
I remember listening to Blur - Girls and Boys in my parent's car when I was 4

> Start researching and listening to more bands such as Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Diamondhead, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Slipknot, Disturbed, System Of A Down, Anthrax, Pantera,
Could those bands I just listed be considered 'Heavy Metal'?

Thanks
Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Diamondhead, and Def Leppard are "heavy metal".
Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax are thrash metal
AC/DC is hard rock
Slipknot, Disturbed, and System of a Down are nu metal
Pantera is groove metal
For death metal: Death, Morbid Angel, Napalm Death. Assuck, Atheist, Edge of Sanity
Listen to Holy Mountain and let your journey into Doom begin
>>71790244
>Metal
Maiden, Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer Diamond Head, Anthrax, Pantera
>not metal
SOAD
Def Leppard
Slipknot
Disturbed
Ac/Dc
As for recs… most of these are pretty accessible, but are a good starting point to branch out from:
>Metallica and Megadeth
Testament- Practice What You Preach(not to big into Testament but I like this album)
Exodus- Fabulous Disaster
Heathen- Victims of Deception
> Slayer:
Sodom- Agent Orange
Kreator- Pleasure to Kill
Venom- Black Metal
Sepultura- Arise (maybe Roots if you dig nu-metal)
>Anthrax:
Overkill
S.O.D. (Scott Ian's side project from the 80s)
>early Sabbath:
Pentagram- First Daze Here
Sleep- Holy Mountain
Witchfinder General- Death Penalty
Ozzy, I guess
>Ronnie James Dio era Sabbath
Dio- Holy Diver
Judas Priest- Screaming for Vengeance
Accept- Teutonic Terror
Rainbow- Rising
>Iron Maiden and Diamondhead:
Angel Witch-Angel Witch
Satan- Court in Act
Aria- Megalomania
>Death Metal with more understandable vocals
Carcass- Heartwork
At the Gates- Slaughter of the Soul
Death metal isn't exactly my favorite so I'm sure somebody else could recommend better stuff
How do you discover new music?
Pitchfork, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, Fantano, the list goes on..

*replaces them with Submarine, Naminanu, You Might Recall, Me and Virgil, and Paperlate*
>>71789905
>Deletes Man on The Corner
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Otherwise, good choices, OP.
Abacab and Duke are criminally underrated
Man on the Corner is a decent track, definitely one of the best Phil Collins vocal performances.
I'd delete No Reply At All, Like it or Not and Another Record, replacing them with Paperlate, You Might Recall and Me and Virgil.
>>71790064
Oh, and fucking Who Dunnit would be deleted as well, Naminau could replace it.
