How many layers of post-punk are you on right now?
>>71782036
post punk sucks
I see post punk thrown around all the time and I'm pretty sure it's in line with my tastes but if someone played some for me I wouldn't feel confident labeling it as such. That said, I'm behind 7 layers of post punk.
>>71782064
that's a lot of layers
What did you expected when listening to certain albums? Where those expectations matched?Did it change you perception of the artist/band?
>be me
>start listening to prog
>mostly king crimson
>give yes a try
>The only song I know by them is the "le to be continued vine compilation" song
>listen to closer to the edge
>its horribly dated garbage
>>71781703
lel king crimson in the background
nice jojoke
I need something like autechre but slightly more abrasive, violent and upbeat and the percussion math-rocky.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

>>71781295

>>71781271
>a whole bunch of krautrock and 1 phish album
Best taste right here
hands down graduation was his best work
>inb4 hurr durr everything kanye makes is bad and i cant appreciate him as a talented artist
Graduation was amazing
The one before not so much, the next album was alright, everything else was trash.
but man graduation was so good
>>71781640
>thinking LR was not good
Wow what a garbage opinion
>>71781640
I wouldn't say everything else was trash, but it wouldn't be able to compare to graduation. College Dropout was probably the closest to it tho

I've been trying to get into black/death metal but it just doesn't do it for me. It's just too fucking repetitive. The bands I like that are the closest to these genres are The Body and Exodus, that's as metal as I could get.
I'd like some violent band suggestions, I like the yelling but dislike the low screaming voice.
>>71781021
try neoandertals
Listen to the superior Glam metal.
>>71781021
death- scream bloody gore
venom- welcome to hell
sodom- obsessed by cruelty
voivod- deminsion hatross
bathory- bathory
morbid angel- alter of madness
motorhead- bomber/ ace of spades
celtic frost- morbid tales
possessed- seven churches
testament- the legacy
try there, its a good spread to see what may appeal to you
