Trying to expand my tastes. Recommendations?
What went wrong? Pic related.
This is the better 90s pop punk album anyway.
And neither are as good as My Brain Hurts.
NOFX would booty-blast either of these bands

your parents had sex
Convince other anons to check out an album that you like.
Brag all you want
You looking for an album that sounds folky, cozy, yet not boring and full of amazing melodies and instrumentation, along with a god-tier singer? Bon Iver

All of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket by Blink-182 is just amazing. Something you can listen to start to finish and it leaves you wanting more.
That is if you're into pop-punk but who isn't?

Just listen to the first track.
Feels like you're being consumed by a swamp
ITT: post an album and its film equivalent
>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
can you elaborate
>Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
A lot of albums could match this. Feels is definitely more about childhood however
Beck's morning phase has some good traits with Into The Wild.

I've always seen Feels as a fairly unconventional breakup album. Instead of the pervading lamentations about lost love and constant negativity and melancholia you find in most albums on the subject, it opts for a more holistic approach, documenting the growth of a relationship through various stages of first meeting, falling in love, growing distant and breaking up, finishing on a positive note of reinvention and progression in the closer. It explores a range of moods and has the same underlying concept of clinging onto good memories and not allowing negativity surrounding a particular event or period of time to colour and distort its positive aspects as Eternal Sunshine, in my opinion.
Is he the most important/influential artist of modern electronic music?
>>71787324
no
j dilla, madlib and kanye have done more for electronic music than him
>>71787337

You don't. It was a trend, not a genre. Just like witch house and seapunk.

What are some good examples of sad/serious songs or albums by more jokey or lighthearted artists?
Obvious one
>>71787153
Ween has kinda always had some touch of sadness and seriousness in their music, it's just inbetween everythign else.
Gene Ween said it pretty well when he was talking about when you're trying to represent life as a whole, there's as much comedy and boredom and hunger and weirdness as there is serious or sad emotions.

It's not me . The downside to him is he's a redditor
I've known about him for less than 24 hours and I already prefer him to melon
Obviously I've heard nothing but good things about them. Should I start with the widely celebrated Laughing Stock/Spirit of Eden or start from the beginning?
The former. And then listen to the Mark Hollis s/t
>>71786822
LS or Eden first?
