Why not both
>Baroness is an American heavy metal band
>Heavy metal
Wikipedia can be fucking stupid sometimes.
I automatically respond to Baroness posts. I don't like very much metal at all, in fact Baroness is one of the only "metal" bands I like, at least Blue Album. I like Gojira, Elder, old Metallica, Down, early HIM, SUNN O))), Earth, Slayer.. I'm kind of an oldfag. Can't stand Deafheaven. Or any metal that takes itself too seriously.

What are they then?
Waiting for that special someone that'll put out a 9 or 10 album for me this year :'(
not gonna be another p4k yuppie and put Mount Eerie even if i think it's a 9, so I'll leave this holiness here
the lack of replies to this post is a bit depressing

I want to like it, but I feel like the singles were the only songs that stuck in my mind
Am I disappointed because it was half as long as the rest of their albums?
I don't know what to think
Help me /mu/
The first two singles were definitely a huge crux of the record but I think the other songs are still pretty good. Even 'Hit Me Like That Snare' is enjoyable imo.
I like it, but the singles are definitely the best songs.
>>73255587
I feel like Anthony Fantano had a point when he said that they mistook not trying for "swagger" on hit me like that snare
I really wish Joe would have stayed on beat, that might have made the song single-worthy
Excluding Varg, have Nazis ever made good music before?
>>73255458

Grand Belial's Key were good
I doubt they are Nazis really, but if the likes of Blood Axis and Death in June actually are then they're good to

my friends just talk louder if i put music on. they think i'm playing classic rock when i put on stuff from the 90s/00s. they are far more interested in video games than music. i hate them and i am not interested in ever playing albums when they're around
i usually some combo of jund colors
So I saw Death Grips live for the first time today, and I have to say, it was a bunch of fun. Ride has a great presence on stage, constantly doing shit, and the crowd was lively too.
They mostly played songs off of Bottomless Pit and a few tracks off of The Money Store (and ended with Guillotine, which was a great sendoff). I dont know if they usually do encores but they didnt do one tonight? bit of a let down but it was still a fun show.
What's your guys' thoughts/experiences with Death Grips live?
>>73255212
>played all their shittiest songs
sounds disappointing
jesus, its like they avoid their three best albums on purpose. i thought they at least did up my sleeves live
>>73255254
they did do up my sleeves too actually, I almost forgot
ITT: Describe a theoretical album you'd want to listen to and anons suggest actual albums that match your description
>mathy post-hardcore a la Slint/Off Minor with really long songs (ie. over 10 minutes)
Bumping cuz this is interesting
an artsy trap/hip-hop album with head-knocking production and crazy vocal performances in the vein of Rodeo, Yeezus (but good), My Name is My Name, etc.. i don't think it exists.

How does it feel knowing that Kanye West, a black man, is the biggest rock star today?
