Is this bait? Are you people serious? Is this what is considered good hip hop nowadays? You people are a joke, and so is this album

Childhood is when you idolize Ian Curtis
Adulthood is realising Hooky makes more sense
>>74435546
Then comes the enlightened period where you realise that Ian Curtis' lyrics and persona and their unique production style (which wasn't down to them) was the only thing setting them apart from other similar bands at the time and that bands such as a certain ratio did the same thing but with tons better instrumentation and with better unique qualities

Memes will tear us apart again
>>74435833
a certain ratio is boring as shit
post-punk has been my favorite genre of music since i was in high school but don't try to claim that most of their contemporaries even compared to joy division. you really have to sift through bands to find good ones because the late 70s post-punk era produced a lot of boring samey shit
I'm not sure if this is okay to post here, but it IS music related. I have a Buckethead Collection for sale on eBay. If anyone is interested, it would be great if you could check it out. I'm moving home and need to flog it ASAP.

Good idea.
And I wonder if Piero,
the venereal undertaker
poking about for virgin corpses
in the quivering mist
of a profaned tomb,
if Piero,
the rattling bowels
of my shadow,
if Piero,
the dangling bat,
the bat upon the beam,
if Piero,
the noise behind this thought,
I wonder if Piero will ever die.

Not really. Today's is the closest we have to a slow burner ballad but the other 2 are swell.
Wasn’t that bad.
A solid 8/10, well written lyrics.
Not catchy sounds or edm bullshit.
Nice voice without auto tune overkill

Jeffs story isn't remotely the same. Dude was clean sober.
Tim was too far ahead of the curve for his own good, a true artist. Similar to Nick Drake in that way.
>>74435310
nick drake is boring
This album is fucking good and Asher Roth is heavily underrated imo. Can't think of a more under appreciated album.
>>74435230
This is true. Love Ash. All of his work is pretty brilliant, Retrohash being spectacular. Met him in Chicago, he's a super chill dude. Can't wait for a new album.
>>74435940
Same. One of those rappers that are actually good but remembered for their party hits.
>>74437258
I've got a t short of the Retrohash album art and my professor thought it was Willy Nelson. I was dumbfounded.
That being said, need more Ash X Chuck Inglish
