How could someone possibly dismiss all metal because it's "childish" or "angsty", but listen to Swans or Death Grips, despite the fact that there are plenty of metal bands who are much more mature that these two, on the surface level of popularity even? Is this the epitome of people only listening to music for image?
Seriously, how could someone possibly consider this to be "edgy loud noise for children"....

I'm sure it has a large following in Africa (same with traditional music) but I'd be willing to bet that the largest market is white people in the USA and Europe. Also it's heavily jazz influenced too...
