I'd call it more of a Classical period. Time wise, it came before what most people call classics, but it was capable of portraying so much emotion, I don't think it would be fair to compare it to the baroque style of classical music. If we're talking about strictly timelines, then yes, but otherwise, probably not.

Poseurs are too lazy to actually explore genres so they really like it when people pick out their favorites and put it in a convenient LP format for them to "listen"
>pick bad poorly-recorded music from a poor non-white countries, preferably something "groovy" or "esoteric"
Poseurs like this because it give them cred among their poseur circles such as RYM and /daily/
