Talk about emo music with me. Has anybody heard this yet? Local from Ohio

Saw Joyce Manor and Modern Baseball together last year. Really fun

I've noticed a lot of emo bands have kids in their cover or some old picture. Is it to create nostalgia?
Emo music is a difficult genre for me, it's most likely indie rock. I would dispute that the genre exists apart from recent musical developments in the UK does give it some credence in it being influential enough to have the weight of precedent in its favour as to being a worthwhile term. This is soft rock in the 2000's. I find it difficult to enjoy, it makes me too sad, due to the style of playing. Is it worth persevering with? I tend to think it's a bit of a dead end as a movement.

I DONT REALLY CARRREEE IF YOU CRRRYY
is there a proper leak for this yet
>>74537820
doesn't deserve one
>>74537843
you don't deserve to be alive and yet you are
>>74537871
Epic post, I have the leak but you don't deserve it for that display of faggotry
Porter Ray's "Watercolors" is easily one of the best rap albums of the decade so far. I'd put this up only being behind Atrocity Exhibition, To Pimp A Butterfly, and The Money Store (in no order). The spacious instrumentals and emotional lyrics are awesome! What do you think, /mu/?
>>74537760
Beats were weak, lyrics were kind of cringey, flow was pretty boring, voice was lispy and he sounded like a faggot. Didn't like the 3 songs i listened to, not going to bother with the rest.
>>74537760
Top 3 Hip Hop Album of the year Forsure, and a great young talent with amazing wordplay
>>74537857
Did you listen to the second track? Either way if you still think this, it's just your opinion. Thanks for being honest though! :)
has anyone made a mix of this album that cuts out all the dumb skits and shitty parts? I like this album a lot but it's way too long.
Does anyone want to try and make a mix now?
>>74537604
I think it's the worst album i heard in my life. Really
>>74537670
what exactly didnt you like about it?
is he /ourguy/?
>>74537572
Yes
Would you rather be able to play technically godlike but can't write for shit or have good ideas popping in your head but can't translate it?
>>74537570
technically godlike
>>74537570
neither. i practice to play my ideas fluently and coherently
>>74537570
play technically godlike, I could just start a jazz quartet or prog band and be okay
>i played this song for hours
>i was like trapped in that song forever
>it took me 3 days to get it out of my head
what song is it, /mu/?
The Mars Volta - Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of)
>>74537362
ofc let me begin:
I am trapped into pic related

That's 3,594 Hours 6 Minutes 7 Seconds of "In the End"
What's the difference between Baroque and Calssical? All I can tell is if there's a harpsichord it's Baroque.
de-age now
ones for nerds and the other one is for gay nerds
Baroque music is all about counterpoint, classical stuff tends to be more homophonic in comparison.
>>74537246
Old age was getting boring, decided to start some shit.
>>74537246
what are you talking about? he's based as fuck.
>>74537246
he's a CIA stooge like many of the Laurel Canyon late-sixties scene.
Idk I'm still listening to it...
I WANT SUMTHENN ELS
I CAN FEEL THIS NARCOLEPSY SLIIIIIIIIIIIDE
INTO ANOTHER NIGHTMARE
I WOULD UNDERSTAAAAAAAAAAAND
Did this collab doom her to mediocrity?
Somehow forgot about this album, but just listened to it again. It's more in keeping with her Marry Me/Actor sound so I guess /mu/ wouldn't hate it that much in retrospect.
I guess it opened up the opportunity for her to get "weird," which in her case wasn't that weird but the mainstream ate it right up.
>>74537650
Update: I like this album now.
The guitar tone on "The Forest Awakes" is great, why didn't she ever do that again.
The album comes perilously close to horn overkill.
>>74537155
Nah. s/t was pretty great.
Just listened to this. I think it honestly is has my favorite version of Schizoid on it. I'm really surprised that Fripp wanted to even release this back in the day, but I guess he saw something special in it.
Any noise rock albums in the same vein as this?
>>74537095
But it is not noise, senpai
>>74537095
Parson Sound
Fushitsusha
Les Rallizes Denudes
to varying degrees of similarity
>>74538351
I'd disagree
>>74538417
I know of Fushitsusha and Les Rallizes Denudes but now Parson Sound. Thanks.
alright, this album blew me away. where to go from here? is the rest of their discography this good? i heard riot! was mediocre
>>74536973
I haven't listened to much from them other than this and Riot!. Their singles afterwards are pretty good.
Paramore is solid as fuck on every album, go on through the rest of the discography without care my dude. haven't given after laughter a listen yet but the singles were great and I loved self-titled, so I'll probably like it
Riot! is good, Brand New Eyes is alright.
Everything past that is elecro pop trash.
