>Disliked most of Paul's songs on Rubber Soul
>Been in a depressed mood over relationshit drama
>Suddenly the words from I'm Looking Through you come to my head
>The song is now one of my favourites from the album
Paul is premium happy music.
>my mum used to blast Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush early on a Sunday morning when she would clean the house
>used to despise that banshee shit for waking me up
>It starts turning up on my youtube playlist and i slowly warm up to it
>now i belt the words out like a retard and wave my arms around
It's one of those songs that people dispise or love on first listen

Paul on Rubber Soul and Revolver manages to be incredibly bittersweet; it's almost impressive.

Haha I'm sure all the guitar players on /mu/ can agree on this
Yes but only electric guitars
If you're already good looking, being a musician actually does get you laid more, but only if you're already attractive.

Both the Silvio Rodriguez albums on my chart are pretty great. Al Final de Este Viaje is better though.
opinions on ladytron?
a best of if you never heard their music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T19kOv98BJA
Velocifero is one of the best electronic albums ever made.
>>74538616
They were spammed here incessantly and I'm glad they were, b/c I'd never heard of them before and I love their sound. Witching Hour is my favorite but I also dig their first two records.
>>74538732
oh yeah, those first 3 albums are fucking great. velocifero is also as great as those 3. gravity the seducer is their really underrated album; it's much better than what their fans think it is. what are your favorite songs of this band?
>just realized I've been on /mu/ since 2011
>haven't listened to 1/5 of the essentials chart
how pleb am I?
how? have you just been shitposting for half a decade?
don't waste your time.
when i got here in 2010 i started listening to everything people spammed as "essential", and realized 80% of it was mediocre, or just not enjoyable to listen to.
just find out what genres you really like or are into and go from there. there's multiple essential charts, but the genre-specific ones are better for the most part.
Listen to it and see if you enjoy it, most of the albums are pretty significant and worth at least one listen, and I've liked most of what I've listened to. Don't listen to >>74538832, your experience might be different.
Can /mu/ give me more suggestions for post hardcore bands? Asking for a friend. (My listening includes Dayshell, Hands Like Houses, The Fall of Troy)
>>74538568
You're thinking of 3rd wave stuff.
Check out Sianvar, Hail The Sun, Lower Definition, Closure In Moscow, & I The Mighty.
TFOT is more progresive and mathy so Closure in Moscow, Sound of Animals Fighting, Rolo Tomassi, Protest the Hero, Kidcrash, Suis La Lune and Circa Survive
Thanks for the suggestions thus far.
