So a couple episodes ago, the Equestrians were depicted wearing Roman-style military uniforms.

Does this confirm that Equestrian society is a placeholder for Western European civilization? That would indicate that all the equestrians are ponified representations of white people.

And we saw a different civilization of unicorns that had longer, curved horns. The architectural style is reminiscent of japanese historical buildings. That would indicate that curved-horn ponies are representative of Japanese/Asian civilization.

And we have seen glimpses of a "middle eastern" style pony, called a "saddle arabian". Most likely representative of the great Persian historical empires.

The temple ruins explored by Daring Do are reminiscint of the ancient Mayans, however they appear to be abandoned. This may indicate that the South American civilization in the equestrian universe is dead, possibly due to colonization by the equestrians.

North American civilization seems to be alive and well represented as the buffalo tribes, and African civilization we know to be the Zebras. However we haven't seen them, besides Zecora of course.

What's interesting is that the Japanese and European civilizations seem to be the only ones capable of magic. Coincidentally, these are also the only first-world civilizations in the modern day.

10/10 episode, glimmer knocks it out of the freaking park. She has some of the best lines this entire SEASON and her banter with trixie is top knotch.
