I know this is probably a shitty idea but would it be possible to do a collaborative CYOA?

Maybe have one QM focus on text while another draws the pictures. Or, have a few QMs post short prompts as different characters players can interact with. I'm guessing the former requires too much coordination and the later crosses the line of what might be considered role-playing.

That'd be lovely in theory, but it's practically undoable. You'd need at least two QMs to run at the same time, multiple times, for a long time, with a defined, structured schedule. That's not an easy thing to go by these days.
Last attempt was that NotChristmas quest by Beard and Lis, and it sort of went well for three or four days, and then it died.

You need QMs as dedicated as Fins or Alch to run that kind of thing. I doubt even Inept would be able to pull it off, and she's still pretty damn reliable.

Honestly, i'd like to. I could basically copy paste LisCas's post about why he isn't running curse and it'd be 80% accurate for me.
I won't bitch too much but it's a mixture of large emotional problems and inconvenient life stuff keeps my motivation to run low.
That on top of the fact that it's been so long and the fact that I was pretty spotty even when i was running and my own perception of the quality of it makes me wonder if it's even worth while. And the quilt of not running spicy keeps me from running other things.
I guess that's a long, whiny and round about way of saying, i don't know when spicy will be up, sorry.

Actually...to be completely honest, I'd like to see something new from you more than Spicy. It'd be neet.

I think sometimes QMs don't realize us players are often times fans of the QMs and their art, not just the characters. At the same time ya'll freak yourselves out about living up to a self inflated standard, so maybe it's better if you think that we just like our waifus and think specific QMs are irrelevant.

But yea, the real life stuff is understandable. It's all understandable. QMing takes a lot of time and effort for something that has no real world payback, (unless you're a kid going for an art career). It's a lot to take on even when things are going well.

As a player, I hate knowing that QMs feel bad or guilty about not being able to run or bring a quest to an end, because I really do appreciate what you've already provided, and I hope that you can be left with something positive, same as me.

You want to believe it was good for them too, if you know what I mean.

Anyways.. Lis and you all the others... stop feeling bad. At least don't let your quests figure into why you feel bad. Feel good about those.

When you think back to TV shows you loved, you don't just think about the last episode. You think back to the good moments, same applies to quests.

You know what's wierd, it's gotten to the point where I can almost always tell the gender of the artist by their art style. One of the only timed I was wrong was nips. I wonder if his sexuality figures into that.

I really am usually good at this, I'll let you in on the mystic secret. I've noticed that poles draw thier line art more angular lis pls. Whereas holes draw more circles and curves Rip CC Same as with handwriting, but like handwriting, it's never a sure thing, just a good bet.

Also, those little nuances go away with more practiced lineart, so it's harder to tell in those cases. Alternatively it's easier to tell in new artists.

There's contextual clues too, in the ealy days, holes tended to go lewder....still not sure why that was, I think maybe the creep factor was less a problem in thier case.

Pixel art fucks up my whole system because it's angular by nature.

It's also way easier to tell from a gallery of work than from a single pic.

I couldn't tell shit from that pic, it is very polished. I was looking for little inconsistencies, curves that were too curvey, lines that were too sharp. But got nothin'.

I tried looking for contextual clues too, like an autistic level of detail to the tank that would more likely come from a male.

It's not something I've really ever actively thought about this much, I swear I'm not that creepy.

I just noticed I always seemed to know the right pronoun to use when talking to or about artists one day.

Style choice is also another big factor, certain styles are more popular with specific genders, male or female.

That was fun playing, I'd go for more but I really have to force some sleep now.
