The thing is that movie sets are almost always available for years. Like, you can still go buy a BraKaWani for $20, you can still get the apple Lock Seeds for like $30, Fourze, OOO, and Wizard movie sets are crazy cheap, and the same applies to Sentai as well. Yeah, but most other movie sets don't include something as essential to a collection as Newton. Yeah, the OOO one had Magic Hand in it, but that's one of at least FOURTY collectibles. Most of which are barely useful in the show at all. It's both less important to the plot and of a more daunting number to collect. 15 seems more feasible and on top of that Newton is one of the coolest forms in the show to a lot of people. Therefore, the set it more saught after.

I'm sorta glad I spent like 30 dollars on the Suprise Future set when I did. At the time I thought I was getting ripped off.

I really like Skyrider before the retool. After the retool it's nowhere near as good but the constant crossovers kept it enjoyable. The run of "ghost story" eps after that drags a little, but then the ending is pretty good.

Super-1 I watched a few years ago and don't remember a lot of. It's alright, but one of the weaker Showa series overall I think. Enjoyable, the fights are cool, the costume looks great, and main is likeable, but he's a kinda bland, and because the show's not got a lot going on for most of it the episode count feels overlong.

Oh also, as strange as this will sound, I'd possibly recommend watching RX before Black.

RX is a great series stand alone, but as a sequel to Black it sort of fails to work on most levels. Kotaro's characterisation is different, events of Black and characters aren't referenced to the point it feels like they didn't happen, and overall series tone and identity is wildly different from Black. Then when Black is as good as it is, going into RX from that can really hurt it.

Decade even treated Black and RX as outright separate series and separate worlds with different Minami Kotaros rather than past and future.

If you end up liking W, then my suggestion (other than the standard watch all post Decade seasons) goes

W -> Drive -> Blade -> Ryuki -> OOO -> Fourze

Each show shares something with the previous one. Only issue with is that the only noteworthy subs for Ryuki are Sub-Vent's and he has not finished them yet. He's got a pretty good chunk into it though that you can get a feel for the show and enjoy well enough.

Well every series of Kamen Rider other than the one you apparently just finished has subs for the full series (though some of those are HKs).

Sentai is the other main toku franchise, but there's also the Ultra series that was the first and a few series are subbed, the inactive Metal Hero series some of which are subbed, and the adult orientated GARO all of which is subbed.

There are also smaller stuff like Tomica Hero series and Chouseishin series.

I've seen all the Showa programs. Skyrider is top-tier; Super-1 is probably the worst.

They both experience a slight retool about 20-30 episodes in. Skyrider goes from a very standard soft reboot to an anniversary show. It shows how crossovers and cameos are supposed to work, rather than Decade-esque bullshit. If you've seen all the shows leading up to Skyrider, its last half is very, very rewarding. It also has a really crazy plot twist involving the Great Leader and one of the most batshit crazy endings in the series.

Super-1 starts out alright and turns to shit. I've heard this is because they moved Rider's timeslot. Basically, the kiddy factor gets dialed up to eleven. The Junior Rider Squad is reintroduced, except this time they're even younger, like seriously so young that one one of them has a fucking tricycle. Kazuya (the Rider) fades into the background, and rather than the usual Showa format of having the Rider sneak around and investigate, this plot duty is relegated to the Rider Squad. So it's twenty minutes of these obnoxious five-year-olds throwing bouncy balls at monsters, then five minutes of actual Kamen Rider at the end of every episode.
