Would my experiences fit those of a typical FtM? I recently learned about trans people and my experiences make sense to me now.

3. look for endocrinologists in your area, call them and ask if they can provide hormones for trans patients. if they say no, ask if they know anyone who can. alternatively, you can ask your primary care physician to recommend an endo to you.

After that it should follow smoothly. They'll tell you what paperwork you need to fill out, to have the letter faxed to them, where to pick up the T, etc. etc.

However regarding easier hormone access, at least in Australia, it's actually harder for a Male to get Estrogen.

I forgot the exact details my Endro said but she said something about how Women who experience Periods, usually get extremely scared, upset, and so on (forgive me if I am not completely accurate, this was last year), and that alone can be easily used to identify Transgender, than it would be for a Male, where there is nothing like that at all.

Outside of that tho, I'd say the Hormone Access in Australia is pretty equal.
If you are a Minor, you have to go through Family Court to access Hormone Replacement Therapy.
Or if you are 18, you can consent to it and not go through the Court.

I don't know what the equivalent of Spiro is when it comes to FTM (Those who don't know, Spiro is a Testosterone blocker)
But I believe that a Minor can access them now, without the court.

T is king, the one and only. There's no need to block estrogen or anything like that.
Consider this, nobody cares about estrogen supplements, while testosterone is literally steroids and treated as a grade A drug most places. If you get caught with illegal T you are screwed while no police officer has ever heard of Spiro other than the vidya character.
Australia is different though, but they are crazy about everything, not just hormones.
