Ok so I have been planning on self meddling as soon as I get the cash at the end of the month, but today I went to see a new doctor. When I came out to my last doctor as gender dysphoric, she ordered a blood test to rule out other explanations, and then she referred me to my new gp who specializes in sex stuff.
I asked him today what my testosterone levels are and he said “um….30…”. Then i said “so 30nmol? That’s high isn’t it ? shit.. I guess that’s why I am going bald.” We had a long ass talk about hormones, and I realized his ideas of what to prescribe contradict mine, for example he said that it would be normal to prescribe 200mg of spiro (Even though we are in Australia), and I said but Spiro is fucking terrible, Cypro would be much better in every way. And when we were talking about the risks of hormones I said “oh and breast cancer risk increases as well right?” and he said “that is incorrect.” And then he tells me that hrt doesn’t do anything for breast growth. And I’m thinking “does this guy only deal with 40 year old hons or something?” I asked about different estrogens and he said “oh, I have never heard of estrogen being injected..” tf is this shit?
Tells me it will take about 3 months to see an endo to get hormones, and after that he can blood test me every 3 months or so. But he gave me a prescription for finasteride. And we talk about how easy it would be to forge a prescription. Asks to see me again for a checkup in a month, I say “er…sure” I got to pay at the counter and the reception lady says “oh your doctor has decided not to charge you anything, it will all be covered by medicare.” I look at my phone and my session had gone way over time as well. Such a nice doctor… I don’t know if I should break his trust by self medding…fuck
Should I go through with self medding? Or should I just wait to get through the system?

Just call him and express desire to see an endocrinologist separately so you can start doing HRT as soon as possible. It sounds like he's unfamiliar with HRT which would generally be fine, besides regular bloodwork and consulting specialists it isn't really an involved procedure on his end, but if you feel unsure about it then definitely get a second opinion.
If you have a legitimate medical route available, there's no good reason to self-med.

Try the 200mg spiro and the estrogen he gives you. That regimen works for plenty of people. Spiro nuked my testosterone at 200mg.
I did switch to cypro anyway due to some negative side effects that most don't wind up getting, at least not with the severity I got them with. It was like 2 years in that I made the switch.
Take the spiro. 3 months isn't much time and you've got the finasteride so that's something. If it doesn't work, self med cypro or try to convince him to switch you.
Also, I do currently take injections but I started on oral pills and have switched to them occasionally. I get a boost of feminization and breast growth every time, whether I'm switching to injections or back to the pills. The pills are fine, and any benefits injections will give you, you will get even if you switch to them 2 years from now.
