We're not going to be able to give trannies girl bones anytime soon, so anyone who transitions after puberty is pretty fucked. This is not enough to make *all* late trannies kill themselves *yet*, but imagine in a few years:
All TruTrans kids will be transitioning before puberty, making the AGP/TruTrans distinction obvious. AGPs are going to be very much in the public mind due to everybody being able to see the differences, not just the differences between the physical outcomes, but also the obvious fetish aspects of AGP. Everyone, even SJWs, is probably going to conclude that having gone through male puberty makes you a man.
In the future, AGPs will have to either repress or an hero.

anon, you do not have the most basic understanding about the future for trans people or the proper treatment of dysphoria in children (admittedly nobody's really sure what to do about the latter)
not only is prepubertal transitioning controversial and possibly unethical as there is no way currently to settle the desister debate, detransition rates are soaring (and, it turns out, statements that they're almost nonexistent are hampered by low followup) and heavy restrictions will be placed on pubertal transition over the next decade

Not trans but I imagine one identifies in a far more deep sense with their mind in some kind of spiritual sense, while your physical attributes aren't anything particularly important. Altering your mind, or being told your mind isn't operating how it should from dysphoria can be very hard to accept, to a degree where one would rather change their body than their mind.

I was born male. I live a decent life as one, without any real issues. I'm not depressed, nor am I suicidal.
But I'm not particularly happy, either. I get by fine as a male, and it's not doing me any real harm to continue living as one and being "normal". But the feelings keep coming up, and I keep wondering if I'd be happier making at least a partial transition.
I have no desire to lose my dick. It's not what I'd prefer, but replacing it with a lookalike that may or may not work (at great expense) isn't happening. HRT may be considered, but as I already have a pretty feminine appearance, it's not a major priority - I've passed 100% in the past, even without makeup, and including my voice.
I guess my main worry is whether or not it would be worth it. There's no risk of losing my job or home, and while my family would be weird about it, I doubt I'd lose them over it. A couple friends may bail, and my very straight girlfriend definitely would. But is it worth it when I'm not miserable living as a male?
Is there anyone here that's had a similar experience, or that can offer advice? I'm kind of lost on this.

I actually wouldn't need surgeries. My face is pretty feminine, and in the past I've presented as female, and have passed without question. This was out, in real life, face to face with others, as well as via skype.
I also don't really have despair. Sure, I'm not super happy that my body isn't my preference, but I'm not miserable or suffering. It's just not ideal, and I've been trying to figure things out from there.
