Molle pouches usually can be used on a plain regular belt, amirite?

They'll be a bit sloppy if your belt isn't exactly 1" or 2", but they'll work.
If you use a 1.75" belt, you won't have any issues.

Reposting my question from the previous thread

I'm thinking of getting this bag for hiking as well as commuting to school on my bike (mostly cycling commuting). Does anyone have any experience with this bag (the Legion-Elite Day Pack) or would you recommend a different one?
This bag appears to checks off a lot of my requirements.

The size is good since I will only be carrying my tablet and one or two textbooks and a change of clothes. I also like the side and internal compression straps to keep everything nice and secure during my ride.

It has a hydration bladder pouch for drinking while riding to school which is a must for me due to living in a desert.

The helmet carrier and sunglasses pouch will be used to for holding said items during class

I don't mind paying a little bit of money for a nice bag that has all of these features that I would use but I wouldn't mind saving some money if there was a less expensive alternative. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the recent SKD armor package being shown I wonder how common balcs is anymore.
Aside from the larger coverage and some cases lighter than plates is all it has going for it?
You never see people with soft armor exclusively for happening gear or in general that isn't CP or LEO.

Absolutely not. You do not apply hemostatics to the thoracic cavity at all. Basically, anything that is going to rate emergency hemorrhage control in the chest is going to be fatal. Pleural vein or ascending aortic hits don't allow for much field care. There is also the minor detail of lungs to consider.

Is a standard canteen a good idea? Or should I save for one of those backpack staly pouches with the tube? Am I better off buying a premade medpack or putting one together myself?

The handgun issue I plan on addressing eventually. I'l like to get a glock .45b(because I'm poor). The S&W Shield was to kill two birds with one stone. needed my first handgun, but also needed something I could conceal carry. Thanks for the input.

>>
>>34880625

>>
>>34880303
ditch the black bag and get a backpack, even if its a walmart pack it will do. In the event you have to throw your PC on and move out or bug in or whatever your thing is, you're gonna need both hands free. Not one hand on rifle and another toting around a goofy little bag.

When it comes to plates, go big or dont at all. Lifeandlibertygear run sales on lvl 4 hesco plates all the time and they're usually around the $200 mark PER PLATE.

As another anon said you have a major lack of water and medical. If you buy a backpack then you can throw bottles, canteen, camelbak or whatever you want in there.

As for med supplies there is pastebin at the very top of the thread that will help you a lot.
>>
>>34880663
G3 flecks are not cool, whereas ACs are Kosher. G3s can be ordered direct off of Tacwrk's website, whereas ACs were only made for people in KSK. Ergo, ACs are rarer. Either way you're still paying 350-500 Euro per shirt.

stitching looks marginal tbqh, 7 SPI is low. if they're cutting corners there i bet you they are also cutting corners in material selection. zoomed in at the photo and the PALS webbing appears to be bartacked, probably because it's faster than trying to run 3 lockstitches. the front shoulder straps are also extremely marginal. break out the thread and needle and start reinforcing anon.

Get whatever you want as far as water carry goes, but personally Nalgene Oasis (canteen shaped) are pretty durable; or grab a standard silo shaped one. Plus you can use it in your day to day while shitposting at your desk.

>>
I'm trying to get my /gq/ shit together now that most of my gun projects are done or close to it. Last year I fell for the ARFCOM meme and bought one of SKD's group buy kits with the Paraclete SOHPC and a pair of 10x12 Level IVs, but I've left it slick since then.

I've noticed that the SwiftClip system seems to offer a lot of additional flexibility in what gets attached to the front of the carrier, but the SOHPC doesn't have any sort of built-in accommodations for attaching a SwiftClip-compatible placard or an HSP D3CR, etc.

Is there anything I can attach to my plate carrier that will let me use those with it, should I just sell it and get a 6094 like everyone else, or should I just accept the fact that if shit ever goes down I'm not gonna be spending time deciding whether to grab an AR, an AK, or my Scorpion SBR?
>>
I'm looking for a chest rig like a D3CR. I don't need a zillion mag pouches. I only want up to 4 MAX. Admin pouches are really cool, and I don't want to have layers upon layers of fabric that is molle. Oh, and multimeme is what I'd prefer it in.

Also <$100. Tall order? Maybe. Impossible? No.

Thanks my dudes.
>>
>>34888153
This might be worth a shot, not sure how well it would work with the 3/4" webbing though. http://www.optactical.com/dorageqaveco.html
Platatac makes good stuff, you just made the mistake of buying something before you knew what you wanted.

>should I just sell it and get a 6094 like everyone else
If you do decide to get a new PC I would suggest the APC (or other options) over the 6094. It comes with QASM buckles and has Velcro on the front flap to secure your swiftclip attached gear.

Pic not related.
>>
>>34888313
Neat, I figured there was something like that out there. I saw MilSpecMonkey released a big loop-only field MOLLE attachment recently; would something like that serve as a good way to secure the Velcro portion of the placard?
>>
Is there a cadpat plate carrier that isnt LPSPC? I just don't care for cumber bun that comes with it, and would prefer more molle
>>
>>34888341
It should work. That being said as someone who had (and then sold) a Mayflower APC, not everyone really needs the swiftclip capability. It originally made sense for SF guys who wanted to be able to switch between carrying M4 mags, Mk17 mags, or nutsacks for the M249 or Mk46, as well as switching body armor profiles depending on the mission. However if you've got one go-to rifle or a couple rifles with the same mags, you might not see any real benefits from swiftclips.
>>
Should i get a slick plate carrier or a regular one for general bullshitting? Do slick carriers come with swiftclips and all that jazz?
>>
>>34886729
Only if your land nav skills are good to the point that you can verify. People who trust those exclusively get lost. A lot.
An ACOG is a decent optic, but if you are slapping the trigger like it burned dinner and hiccuping, then your group will be terrible. Same idea here.
>>
>>34888423
Right, that makes sense. My AR is my go-to rifle, but I've got a couple of AKs in both 5.45 and 7.62, as well as a PTR-91 and Scorpion Evo. It's mostly the last one that made me want a Swiftclip system; I was thinking I could use something like G-Code Scorpion softshells to handle all my intermediate caliber rifle mags and maybe the PTR mags, but those wouldn't handle pistol caliber carbine mags securely.

I'm thinking it might make more sense for me to do one rig set up around AR/AK mags (something like a D3CRX or the aforementioned G-Codes), and then a convertible chest rig for the Evo, since it is most certainly not my go-to rifle, even if it is my favorite. The PTR can just stay a fun gun if I can't find something that'll do AR/AK mags and HK91 mags, because fuck hauling that thing around long-distance anyway.

Personally I find it is more cumbersome unless you are a chauffeur in a non-permissive environment, like an uber driver in detroit. Also the carriers are not the best either. I would save your shekels and get a better carrier and ceramic plates.
>>
>>34891516
That was stupid; you should've just bought a good PC and gotten some pouches and plates later.

If you're on a budget the Beez Combat Plate Carrier Molle II may be up your alley. For plates bulletproofme has level 4 plates for $118 but they're not NIJ certified. For pouches get a surplus molle bungee top shingle.

no i made it in a day with a need and thread. if you have a sewing machine you could do it in a couple hours.

with a sewing machine you can can put the shoulder straps inside the front and back side of the plate bag and sew it to the inside back and make it much cleaner then mine.

First, you need to determine which model you want to mimic. RE4? ORC? One you have done that, you need to go piece by piece and find either what the designers copied or something that will stand in well.
/cgl/ might have good info on this, but you might have one very slow thread.

Is this guy serious?
You defend a religion based on a man who was a murderer, pedophile, rapist, sexist, slave owner, homophobe, antisemite, liar, wife beater, and dictator who preached a theocratic dictatorship where Christians and Jews can live as 4th class citizens and every other religion, including atheists and agnostics, are killed?
But I'm a "fascist" for criticizing it?
>>
>>34893437
yeah and you support a religion where a dad wanted to kill his son, killed off most of the Earth, where you're forced to say God Bless America, and troops will kill in the name of God. You're a facist for thinking you're in the right, when you're hating on a whole race and a whole religion based on the actions of few, without realizing you are in the same boot.

Now like I mentioned earlier stormfag, go back to your containment board
>>>/pol/ so you fags can circlejerk eachother over having the same edgy opinion

>"Fascists doesn't defend islam, heroes do."

"It’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion,”
"The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"
"Had Charles Martel not been victorious at Poitiers [...] then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism, that cult which glorifies the heroism and which opens up the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world."
-Adolf Hitler

As a supplement, absolutely. Park the truck and get to track deer, hit the backtrac function and you're heading right back to the truck.

Going through a National Park or hitting the trail? Preload waypoints and end up checking your topo map a quarter as often just to verify you are where you need to be.

Preload fresh water sources near camp or along the trek and reliably hit them up.

Stumble upon a water source or other point of interest and add it to your list of POI on the fly.

Set up camp and/or set traps, add their positions on the fly.

For $150 it's well worth the money if you're going to use it.
