The only thing you can make better is adding a quality optic in a non shit mount.

But there's a whole lot you can do to make it less cringy, like remove the Daniel Defense furniture, silly muzzle brake, super huge takedown pins, get a better sling (if you use one) and get some non-shit USGI clips. Unfortunately you already paid for those things before consulting /arg/ so this is a resource issue.

Not to worry though! As Giddy has proven in the extreme, you don't need any resources to buy a nice rifle!

Depends what you want to do with it.

I wanted to be able to engage stuff out to 400-500 yards if needed. Therefore a red dot alone wasn't enough.

If money didn't matter I'd probably have a Trijicon 1-8 on it instead of the Steiner.
