Psi or qb or anyone who has installed a URX rail:

If the rail itself is the barrel nut, how do you go about installing the gas tube? Do you slide the tube and gas block on after you tighten down the rail? If so then how do you tighten the gas block set screws if the GB is under the rail?

Am I understanding correctly?

I think it's the inherent problem with the URX4 being an integral barrel nut. Not all upper receivers are threaded to the exact same spec, and any variance will effect where the slots line up over the gas block. Obviously some people will have this problem, others will not. Mine is an Aero upper. It also has a rather large gap between the rail and receiver face through which the gas tube is clearly visible--3/64" although this is nowhere near as much gas tube exposed with a delta ring, and it feels pretty damn solid so I'm not concerned.

The MFT minimalist is a good stock but be aware that it's both ugly and so light it will fuck with the balance of the rifle.

NiB was a mistake, but if you've already bought it and can't return it it'll serve.

The Aero handguard is well built and light, just be aware it's fat as fuck. If you're cool with that it's excellent.

There's cheaper A2 FH's out there, but if you can get free or bundled shipping through PSA the PSA one might be the better buy.

Is there a reason you're going with such an expensive lower when it's still a milspec?

I retired in May 2014, sat around trying to be, y'know, actually retired. Ended up in my "second career" by August 2014. There's only so many days you can waste out fishing before you get bored and/or sick of the taste of freshwater fish, there's dick-all to hunt outside of Oct/Nov/Dec here, and while I get enough pension to live off I don't get enough to live off *and* spend all day erryday shooting.

Does anyone know what can cause a new AR to short stroke? I bought an anderson build from this small gunshop and it can't fire 2 consecutive rounds. I put about 100 rounds through it and nothing. This guy at the range tried my bcg in his ar and worked fine but his bcg couldn't feed 2 either. Can't do pics because I'm away from home
