The AK is the fucking beast of the bolsheviks. 7.62 is a much stronger penetrator than a measley .22 err I mean .223 sissly round

Do you want to shoot through cement walls? Do you want to shoot throguh cars and trucks?

AK is the gun for you.

It is heavier, ammo is heavier, not as accurate but lose weight in other area, carry more ammo more magazines. You will be good to go.

If the feds are digging through your shit that deeply, then you should already be returning fire at them or be a corpse at that point.

If they dig that deep, they will find something you did wrong. Some post you made somewhere, something from you history somewhere. Or just make shit up and sprinkle some crack on you or sprinkle a ISIS flag on your corpse.

Realistically? $25-30.
Circle 10 mags are only expensive because of Arsenal/FIME. They have an exclusive contract with Arsenal Bulgaria and can price them as high as they want.

A few years back (read 7-10) there was a guy who was bringing in ((10))s and selling them for $15, and pulled the rug out from under them.
>Then he got arrested for illegal machine gun importation, if I recall correctly.

Look up Chief Thunder.

((10))s are made for next to nothing, yet they are priced for maximum profits.

There was a small batch brought in last year.
They go fast, like the AES10Bs.
Then resellers all cry "LAST ONE, NEVER TO BE IMPORTED AGAIN ONLY $1200 FIRM, NO LOWBALLERS I KNOW WHAT I HAVE"
Then they pop up a year or 2 later again for a short while and the cycle continues.

Seriously though, people don't seem to understand practical accuracy. An AK is going to be accurate enough for anyone here so long as they're not trying to hunt beyond medium distances. I know my AK's never missed a shot simply because it's too inaccurate.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Not everyone can afford to shoot steel or find good land to hunt hogs and other animals on. That being said, and I understand you're not doing this, there's no reason to complain about accuracy when you're just shooting paper. Nothing depends on it and your target isn't going to move, so who cares if you occasionally miss a shot simply because your weapon isn't as accurate as it could be?

Another great thing to remember is that the faggots who complain about AK accuracy and then laud the AR are the people with $400 Bear Creek Arsenal or PSA builds that are probably less accurate than your standard WASR.

I tryto refrain from saying anything, the competition for parts and guns is already high enough as is. One day I'll be able to afford an AR and operate with the big dogs

I think the sporting ones are or are going to be soon, but with euro gun laws I doubt they could buy one and say "yea it broke so I destroyed it" and I only know of 5 deact ones floating around Russia that sold for $8000

http://forum.guns.ru/forummessage/115/1304823.html
>>
>>29648626
yeah, and it might be tricky to export some parts
I know some Euro countries (Deutschland) that consider the barrel and bolt to be the firearm
so you might be able to export the counterweight thing and small parts, but be SOL when it comes to the actual bolt

the other issue I see is most Euro countries require you to give a reason to purchase a firearm
if they figure out a Euro contact was buying a rifle to cut up and mail to America when their application said sport shooting, that'd probably land them in deep shit

SGammo. They always stock golden tiger too, which I view as the absolute best 762 steel case ammo.
I like it best both because of the sealants/lacquer, and the bullet is a full length boat tail and yaws on the level of 545 so it's nasty.

Is GT more accurate or cleaner than cheaper ammo? I see it praised very often but AKs and SKSs will eat just about anything you throw at them.

I was trying to sight in a scoped rifle, it did MUCH better than bear ammo at least. I was frustrated as hell with bear, not that I would have noticed it so much if I was using irons.
But generally, any fmj ammo will at least cycle in any ak.
Also, GT is one of those brands that actually reaches advertised velocities from a 16in barrel. Wolf for example was hitting only 2000fps from an ak length barrel, while gt worked as it should.
Also, any ammo that has a large muzzle flash should be suspect IMO unless you chrono it when it comes to velocity.

Nothing, if you like to collect specific models and such then good for you, nothing wrong with that. It's just that /k/ lusts over the AN94 like it's actually significantly better than the AK74. Mechanically unique it is, but it's not that cool.

bumping this question, I think it looks a little cooler than the typical AK47. I prefer a muzzle brake to whatever is going on with most AKs that shoot 7.62, and the vented grip makes my peepee stiff. only problems I see would be that really anemic looking stock, which can be easily replaced by a thicker one, and the absence of a cover for the gas tube, which could also probably be remedied. thoughts?
>>
>>29651628
I've never accused the AN94 of being a "good" gun, but they're cool and rare and interesting and fit my niche. So they have my attention and desire.

That's it, just a polymer shroud. Not much but hey it's a real part of the legendary AN-94.
>>
>>29651778
Oh, you're referring to the riser, well yeah that helps a bit but you can't really replace the whole stock with a standard one.
>>

>>
>>29651792
o-okay. you seem experienced, how does it function otherwise? after building my AR, I want another project, the entire barrel seems to be already constructed, so I don't think I need to worry about headspacing. was just gonna get a side folder receiver from atlantic and I'd be set. I just wanna make sure it's not going to shit the bed on me, or if I would be better off investing in a WASR instead.
>>
>>29651836

>>
>>29651815
I bought it off guns.ru, trying to get my hands on the deactivated one but no luck so far.
>>
>>29651836
Why not just find a TGI build they're fantastic save the finish. I'd only buy a kit if I wanted to build some frankenrifle with the front end.
>>
>>29651851
This. The TGI builds are the only way it's worth it. Or any with the proper barrel.
>>
>>29651740
It works and has an anti-tilt follower. Personally, I don't actually give a shit about steel feed lips after I took a cinder block to one of them.

>>29651750
Midwest industries mount. It works and holds zero if you take it off but I do not recommend it. The screws are too short.

I had to go to Home Depot, get pan head #6x32 1/2 inch screws and then file the heads to fit within the recessed slots.

>>29651757
Waffen Werks. But one of the DDI WW builds. I rolled the dice and came up sevens. It holds tight groups, the rivet work is superb, everything is in spec, no extractor issues, it survived a torture test and it holds a two inch group at 100 yards.

So talk all the shit that you want, I'm enjoying the shit out of my raifu. The cleaning rod got knocked underneath a concrete slab at the range and as for the sling, would you like me to put the OEM canvas one on it?
>>
>>29648523
I think the possibility of success is worth being considered crazy.
>>
>>29651836
>>29651851
Tbhf they were super cool when they were $400 with original barrels and FEG receivers. In see them go for $750ish now, $500ish if your lucky and stumple on an ignorant.

Still cool rifles but at $750 one must pause, plus a stamp if you want it correct. You're call, I still like them quite a bit
>>
>>29651890

That's the mount I was looking at.

I'll uh....do some research I guess. Does it work without the screws you had to get? I don't like getting something I need to replace parts on out of the box like that.
>>
>>29651795
Still fucking cool.

Congrats on having an average rifle that doesn't explode in your face.

Buy a new cleaning rod you cock muncher. Also the original slings are more comfortable and won't cut into you if you have to operate in MTA

>>29651884
fair enough. what's wrong with classic's, aside from the barrel not being the original? I'm assuming they did that so they're not sbr's. I don't really feel comfortable stamping any guns yet, so I don't mind the hit to historical accuracy for a usable/reliable/inexpensive rifle. just for the record, I'm not a poorfag, I can afford a WASR, or build a 47 from a different kit/series of assemblies, I'm just curious/interested in this one, and I don't want to deal with the legal horse shit to make it genuine.
>>
>>29651946
Look at gas block, look at front sight. Look at distances. Admire correct build. Reject odd imposter.
>>
>>29651916
The screws work great and as a bonus, I can actually remove them with a common screwdriver.

RS makes a red dot mount and if I had it all to do over again, I'd have gone with that but I had to be all "Muh single piece of 6061 aluminum!"
