Why do you have to "tap" it? To make sure the mag is seated properly? Why would it ever not be unless you are a fat fingered retard and hit the release?
one big room, full of bad bitches.
>>33657062
To make sure it's seated, yes. Sometimes you may shove the mag in and think it's seated, causing a ftf.
It's why when you put a fresh mag in you tap it then to make sure it in position
>>33657062
You'd understand if you we're not a regard yourself. Now you and the fatties some thing in common.

Shock horror - North Korea fails once again to intimidate the west
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-39612095
Could this be the final straw though?
Will this string of failures continue if a war does occur?
Leave North Korea-chan alone. She's doing her best.

If you can't do something right without pressure, chances are you will ruin it even worse under the intense pressure of war.

Probably something to do with their ballistic missile sub program. It's a shame, I thought those missiles were coming along rather well.

Hi there /k/retins, /out/ here. Quick question, what do you guys think it's the best tool for EDC, a multitool, a small (less than 4in) fixed knife or a modern tactical folder? I'm asking because I want to move from the usual SAK.
I would really appreciate any serious input from people actually carrying any of these. Thanks.
Why not all three?
>>33656527
Hmm,cold steel might be pretty good for you.I would suggest a cs voyager,or maybe a fixed mini tac.I edc a rawles voyager,it makes a very good utility knife and a very good self defense option, If you're aiming to have a razor sharp knife, get a sebenza or something, those are little folders that have a blade geometry to cut.Voyagers are thicc af,so idk if thats your best option for something hair whittling sharp.
>>33656527
What do you usually do in your daily life. That's it.
I have my Leatherman. I work at the sawmill, and I sometimes have to pull a splinter from my skin with the pliers.
My buddy has SAK Work Champ. It has small stainless pliers that are even better for this task.
If I go outdoors, camping or hunting, I have a folding saw and a puukko-style knife. I also have my Leatherman because of modern camping technology I use.
>screws, nuts, a roll of steel wire, hot pots and kettles which I pick up from the camp fire with the pliers. Etc.
Are you a handy guy? Not messing with you but Genuinely interested. Because if you are, all you need to do to figure out your EDC is just to do more thinking about it.
What it is to you. What is it's nature to you.

Because I don't live on Okinawa I'm not really worried. If it was still the cold war I'd plan on driving to ground zero of the nearest likely target (probably Boston or Pease AFB for me) set up a lawn chair and wait for the flash. I've got too many health problems to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.

And 11K romp with gear is nothing for selection
The FFL
To complete training, legionnaire trainees must complete the "Combatant's Course" of 8 kilometers (5 mi) loaded with rifle, helmet and 12 kilograms (26 lb) in 40 minutes, and a night march of 25 kilometers (16 mi) in three hours with a load of 18 kilograms (40 lb). Various marches of much longer distances are also a part of training such as the "Kepi" march of 50 km in full combat gear carrying a rifle, helmet and 30 kg load and the "Raid march" of 120 km in full combat gear carrying a rifle, helmet and 30 kg load simulating the navigation to and raiding of different checkpoints in 3 days. Troublemakers are made to place extra rocks in their backpacks for the duration of the marches. Further in the training of a "Caporal" there is a 100 km march which must be completed in 24 hours.
Similarly US Seals, Thai Marines, Brit Marine Commandos, SAS, SBS etc have far far tougher selection.
What gives?
Are spetnatz pussies?
Your average professional in a decent western army regiment would laugh off the Russian SF selection and throw that red beret in the bin as being piss easy?
Anyone here who could not do 11K (8 or so miles) with a weapon and a flack jacket in their prime?
Are the spetsnaz a meme and throwing shovel psyop and really only equivalent to decent nato professional regulars?
They seem no match for western SFS at all.
Absolutely, the SEALs killed OBL by marching 200 km in 24 hours, making them twice as good as spetsnatz
I've done 60km with gear that became 70km because our NCO couldn't navigate.
>>33655200
don't US marines have to do 48 miles of march plus a host of other shit in 54 hours?
Can't seem to get a straight answer for this, so I figured I'd ask here:
I know the 9mm p320 can't convert to .45 ACP, but can a stock p320 .45 ACP downgrade to 9mm without any issues?
I get buying a new upper and pistol grip might be in order, but will the trigger mechanism of the .45 version work with the 9mm frame?
Pretty sure the .45 is too wide to fit into or exchange with 9mm.
Sig could come out with a trigger pack and what not that would work with the 45 but have not yet
>>33654748
The firing mechanism fits in both, so yeah you would basically have to buy new frame, barrel, slide, and magazines.
>>33654748
It can't convert?
I thought you can swap everything other than fire control group if you have any P320.
Would a 10.5in AR make for a good SHTF/ combat rifle?
>>33654431
No. It'll be uberloud and rip the shit out of the working internals. A SHTF gun should have rifle length gas like God and Gene Stoner intended.
>>33654431
Underage pls

It appears to be a genuine old *something*, OP. It has the patina for it. If you can't get an answer now, try again in about ten hours when the night /k/rew comes on board. /k/ always delivers eventually.
