Her arms are too thin, she has mans shoulders (women are usually 2 heads length, man are 3 like in your pic), those hips are misplaced (they make them look like grannie hips. I suggest practicing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2ZerTdtudk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWGRsD0xen0 ), the lineart is inconsistent (it changes its weight too much), those hands are doomed (couldn't do much for them. Learn to draw them.), the eyes (in relation with the position of the head and nose) are misplaced. I used this 3D to try to sort it out. Many furries have problem with these so I cant recommend enough using it: https://sketchfab.com/models/dcff879d197b4335948b84f5f34faa97 )

Damn, those are chicken scratches? I didn't clean up the sketch but I though that term was only used for extremes cases.
Thanks for the brushes, I don't find them anything special though. Maybe because they aren't heavily blurred.

Vampire- I assume you mean the tilt on the red ish colored figure.

>>2755940
In his defense there is a guy that sarcastically asks for a blog in that flippant manner, but it's pretty obvious when he's doing it for bantering purposes.
>>2755941
Blue guy's face angles are fine; red guy's angle is fucked. Needs the top of the head tilted farther away from the viewer to demonstrate a real bite.
Also, blue figure gesture is weak for having his neck ripped in to. Arch that back; perhaps open the mouth.
As for previous statement, I guess this is supposed to be gay ecchi, then, so the pelvic tilt is fine. Still needs more gesture in the blue figure, though.

Pretty nice senpai. You could turn the camera a bit so we get a longer view towards the vanishing point, then you could add more rocks more spaced and further off to give it a slightly more ebin feel. Right now it feels more claustrophobic than anything else.

Doings lines for the upper chest as well as the collar bone looks weird. Get rid of those lines and drop the dip of the collarbone a bit. The guy who did the drawover did it and it looks much better.
>>2756226
I did it and it does look a lot better, thanks!
>>2755864
One of the biggest things I'd comment on is the fact that you're symbol drawing the faces. It's very important to have strong shapes blocked out so the piece looks cohesive. The rough draft especially should have some movement and cartoony-ness. Once you get the hang of it your art will quickly look a lot more fun.
(cont.)
>>2756238
If you do it properly it's easy to build good anatomy that makes sense spatially. It won't look as flat. See how I placed the girl's feet forward slightly to give the illusion of depth? The original picture has feet that look like they're floating.

>>2756477
Things seem really mismatched here. Almost like you traced the feet but forgot to do the same for the hands.
Then there's the face...
Finished the sketch for a clients book cover
>>2756523
Hmm, I'm really not sure what you mean.
It is really difficult to get a fresh viewpoint of your own drawing, that's why it's so hard to improve. So can you clarify?
I'm thinking that it might be because of my stiff linework on the feet. But I'm not sure what sets it apart from the hands and the rest of the drawing
But what about the head?
>>2756533
My point is, parts of your drawing are mismatched. It's a bit of a proportion issue as well as a lack of detail/ form in certain areas to the sell the foreshortening you're going for. The hands are too small and the legs are stretched out.
>>2756477
muh dickerino
>>2756539

I like it! Reminds me a bit of the Pfhor race from the old Marathon series. I don't think the last step is doing the presentation of your drawing any favors. The noise filter and the scratched metal overlay looks pretty bad to be honest and it takes away from the nice and clean look of the middle step.
If you could be bothered to post a version of just the clean colors and the simple cel shading I'd actually be really happy.

Man, I like your colors but your art-style does kinda suck.
If I had to recommend you similar art-style pics so you have appealing art that is similar to yours, the best options are butch hartman series (fairly odd godparents, danny phantom, that dog one. Mostly fan-art tho, danny phantom is the only kinda appealing to look at but even that's far-fetched and you would need a lot of cherrypicking) and powerpuff- girls (specially powerpuff girls Z). A lot of EQG MLP fan-art fits that mold pretty well too.
i always end up liking just the lines more...

>>2757659
His benchmark for whether something is beginner is whether he likes it / if someone disagrees with him.
Nobody ever provides a clear metric for how they define that shit, they just throw it around to feel smug.
>>2757661
Line quality, there is no value, lots of symbols, lots of messed up perspective and flat anatomy. I won't explain how benchmarks work to you because it takes a certain level of artistic knowledge before you're able to see that far. That's just your current limit.
>>2757667
Anyone can have "artistic knowledge" from watching a few pirated videos. It's where they fail to implement what they talk out their ass on a website for cartoons like in your case.
>>2757675
Except they posted multiple examples that can be seen right here in this thread. Not questioning your intelligence, but it's below average.
>>2757667
>strokes and anatomy are bad
How so? I mean yeah, the line art is unfinished but is far from chicken scratching or not showing confidence. In the anatomy department I also don't understand since is on point where it counts ( the size of the body in heads and where they are placed, how are the member attached to the body, the dynamism, etc)
>messed up perspective
Where?
There is not even an horizon in any of the pics
>it takes a certain level to see this kind of stuff and that's yours
Alright. Usually I would avoid memeing but post your work master vilpu, show us how it's done
>>2757681
that anon's work is very flat, look at the hands for instance. drawing in a cartoony style does not give you free run to ignore the basics, it just hides them easier.

>>2757667
I don't think you understand what value, line quality and symbol drawing mean.
There are decent fundamentals behind this, and if you don't see that you may just not have developed the eye for it yourself.
Look at the volumes. Each shape and has a clear volume and a relationship with the space it occupies as well as adjacent objects.
Lines are deliberate, the thickness is not arbitary and there is a clear hierarchy of lines and they are easily readable.
Are there symbols? Sure, and let's look at it with an example:
>>2757500
You have symbols in the clashing flames and the simplified eyes in the background characters. But they are used deliberately. Comics and stylized works LIVE from symbols and being easily readable, conveying an emotion is in many cases more important than realism. So you have simplified eyes in background characters because you want the eye to go there, pick up the information, then go back to the actual focal point, which is the characters' conflict.
If you compare the eyes of the foreground and background characters, the ones in the foreground have eyes that occupy a volume in relation to the other volumes surrounding them. I.e. they are not symbols. You put the detail where you want the eye to linger.
The flames / crackling energy helps suggest an intensity that one would otherwise have to build up with text, more background or some sort of known history. (This is also why for example biblical paintings don't need them, the conflicts and emotions of the stories are known.) But because this is for humour, you need something to quickly suggest this idea. That's the same reason why long-winded jokes are rarely as funny as simple, straight-to-the-point ones. You use symbols to convey ideas quickly where you need to do so.
If you disagree with me, I would absolutely love to hear your explanation, as I'm currently learning to do more stylized work myself and I am glad for any input.
>>2757961

hihi
can someone tell me how to resize? If I snip my drawing the quality comes out worse.. :(
>>2758123
Cute!
Do you got a blog?
>>2758123
>>2758125
work on a larger canvas. Then shrink it. it should stay clean. Also try to crop before resizing
>>2758257
Creepy but cute at the same time.
>>2757850
artist here! thank you anon! I don't think I've would have explained it better myself.
(Honestly, I don't think I would have. I don't know jack about art terms. Just that I've been practicing a lot and studying to make comics)
Thanks again!
>>2758257
i really like this, so fucking cute.
blog?
>>2755261
help pls
>>2758122
keep in mind that finding/searching for references doesn't mean you need to find something that 100% matches the idea that's in your head.
generally you should/might take a few aspects of a reference photo to incorporate into your drawing: the position of a food/hand/face, but not the whole drawing.
obviously this is more applicable in some situations than others, but you get the idea.
some Lol Adcs, trying out their looks for a potential comic.
>>2758268
and thank you to the other anons as well! I really want to know what that anon's benchmark is. Least he can do is open up and share his knowledge.
>>2758320
I feel like I've seen you in less-than-reputable places. Blog?
>>2758320
Ezreal looks older and more feminine than he actually is.Otherwise, they just look flat and boring-
>>2758320
that draaaaaaaaven looks very good!
>>2758326
http://4xiszero.tumblr.com/ I didn't upload in a while though.
>>2758328
Ok. also, have you seen ezreal's dance ?
>>2758337
yeah Draaaaven always looks good dude.
>>2758339
Okay, yeah. I'm almost certain I know you. Now to actually identify you, lul.
>>2758348
identify me ? from what ?
>>2758311
Yeah, that's what I ended up doing, it took me a bit out of my comfort zone (cause it's easier to just reference an entire pose) but this is definitely my first time having to switch tabs to look at different parts of a body as I sketch, but again thanks for the advice, I'll keep on doing stuff like this.
>>2758388
Dude, stop.
Everyone is telling you it looks bad.
Go back to studying faces
>>2758388
>that one thumbnail in the back with color
Can we see it?
>>2758393
sorry if you don't like my art, I just draw for fun :)
>>2758409
if you draw "for fun" then you have nothing to do here. fuck off and go elsewhere like facebook or tumblr to earn attention.
>>2758418
If you're not having fun, then you should do something less soul-crushing than art.
>>2758433
>This is fun
>except receiving these comments that this place is made for
>>2758433
you didn't get my point. sure, you can have fun while drawing, but you should put some kind of effort and interest in it, if getting better isn't the goal, then /ic/ isn't the right place for feedback.
>>2758443
Why does getting better have to be the goal?
>>2758446
Well.
Maybe because is the point of this fucking board.
>>2758446
i never said that getting better HAS TO BE the goal, i said that this is the wrong place for attention.
>>2758388
I like your style, but the thing is, eyes are EXTREMLY far away from each other, so just work on that, use manga artist that you like as a reference, even in anime the distance of one eye to the other one, it's the eye itself, i recommend studying from life too, stylization comes from the fundamentals.
>>2758455
>implying the manga artist anon likes doesn't do that too
Doing expression practice, probing the depths of something resembling a style, thoughts, friendos?
>>2755399
Best in thread probably
>>2758403
is this the one you're talking about?
>>2758418
k.
>>2758441
yeah. kinda feels bad sometimes, having to hear a guy say that your art is shit, but then again it's 4 chan lol..
>>2758443
umm I didn't really say I don't put effort into it, I just said I try to have fun while drawing. Sry if you think that way.
>>2758455
thanks, and yeah, it's something I get a lot about my art, I guess it's become a kind of habit that I'm too lazy to break away from.
>>2756812
Gotta agree with this. Even sfw furry shit tends to make me feel uncomfortable, but this pic is fucking adorable in every way possible.
I'm new to /ic/, but muscle loli means yilx, right?
>>2758481
>umm I didn't really say I don't put effort into it, I just said I try to have fun while drawing. Sry if you think that way.
...you are joking, right ? there is no way you put actual effort into the thing you posted earlier.
>>2758498
>there's no way an artist puts actual effort into their art!
Post your work
>>2758499
>"an artist"
>>2758481
Alright.
I'll break it for parts so you can understand
>You are showcasing it.
1-You are posting your art for the world to see and appreciate. If we don't appreciate it it may mean is because there is nothing worth appreciating.
2-If you just posted your art with only intention of showcasing a turd, >>>/i/ is one click away. Thousands of other boorus, forums, websites, etc. The sky is the limit when you don't give a shit.
>"it's 4chan lol"
Just because is 4chan doesn't excuse yourself from sucking. Yes, the commoners in here are rough but also have valuable input that can help you into getting better. Shielding yourself from that feedback will only be your loss, not ours. We understand that there is a lot of shit, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.
>If you're not having fun, then you should do something less soul-crushing than art.
Satoshi Urushihara said that he didn't enjoy the process of making art, but rather the fact that it something that came out of your mind and that it exists. He enjoyed the fact that he made art, rather than making it.
I'll take a wild guess and say that's what most of us here do.
Sure, it must be cool have abs, or a lot of money, but very little must enjoy the way there yet they do it because the fact of not having those is worse than the the pain of doing it.
>" feels bad sometimes, having to hear a guy say that your art is shit"
The only way of stopping those feels is getting better at it. You can shout as much as you want that your art does not need improvement, but other people are going to think otherwise.
1/2
>>2758481
>>2758521
2/2
And now that I feel gave something away than can get through that thick skull of yours, I'm going to give you some advice so we stop being too "4chan" or "not fun" to you:
1-Your characters lack a zygomatic bone so hard that it hurts to look at.
It is possible to make the characters have those facial characteristics and still make it appealling (clannad, Yuri Kuma Arashi and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya comes to my mind)
2-STUDY HEADS
The lack of space between the ears, the same-face and the lack of confidence with your strokes point out that you are still a begginer.
It doesn't matter if you want to draw only in your style, you still need to learn how to make the bases, fundamentals and construction of a drawing so you can make something in your style and not ending up looking like a turd. Even if you are not going to learn anatomy, you still need to gain confidence in your strokes getting through a rendering book.

Depends on the program you're in. Look in the toolbars. Usually in the "image" dropdown, and hit resize image. Not sure about sai.
I'm not to sure.
Also Sarcasm isnt Needed anon. They were trying to help

What am I supposed to focus on when drawing figures?
>>2758800
don't think, feel
>>2758587
Thanks man, honestly if it weren't for you I was seriously thinking of just giving up, and quitting. To be quite frank I lose confidence in myself very easily, and wasn't sure what to do.. I'll be sure to post something better next time.. I am aware that my drawings that I posted yesterday were lazy attempts at drawing.. And thank you, I really mean it dude.
>>2758826
please marry me kinpatsu anon
>>2758826
If you don't plan on getting better just go somewhere else like deviantart. I don't want to see another waste of space posting worthless drawings as if they were the only one on this board.
>>2758875
you too
>>2758826
No problem anon, Your art regardless of it's fundamental flaws stick out to me (positively) more than 80% of the stuff I see on here, I'd honestly follow your blog if you had one (I don't think the other anon was memeing).
You should still work on your fundamentals, or at least study it to give you some better understanding of the different directions you can go with your current style.
Also check out Tsutomu Nihei, your art reminds me a bit of his earlier works, with less cute.
>>2758826
You need to find a balance between personal works and study. If you're not learning, you're gonna be even more disappointed when you see how far others have come in terms of skill when compared to your own.
did a bianca

Far from done, but thoughts, please?

Thanks, Initial D is actually one of my favorite anime.
I seem to having a bit of problem dealing with the contrast of the lines it seems.

In the first pic you posted, the guy furry seemed to be telling somewhat of a story to the girl furry, but in this one, the guy just seems to be so desperate for pussy. Just my 2 cents.
I got a scanner for my birthday.
Now if only I could get talent.
just a quick set up
>>2759300
Yeah, I know. I enjoyed my first mood more, but the person I'm doing it for wanted the girl looking mad and clutching her dress.
