I've been using JVC HA-RX700 for about five years.

Anyone use similar headphones? These are really comfy and durable. I can't say much about the finer details of audio quality but I have no complaints about them.

Is the problem with the hd600. It's not "polite," it's dark and muddy. Roll-off past 8khz, a giant +10db spike at 2.5khz, and a -8db dip at 1.5khz is not neutral whatsoever.

And yes they have a treble spike, but ironically the Sennheisers have more dramatic peaks in the midrange than the beyers have at treble. +4db at 9khz for the dt880s. Meanwhile at 2.5khz, right smack dab in the midrange, the hd600s have a peak at more than double the amplitude.

Winblows 10 forced the creators update on me when I did a fresh install and now my audio is fucked, realtek sounds quieter and muddy and nvdia audio is a joke. I own and love the HD380 Pro. The overall subjective sound is very similar to my HD600, except for stronger bass, which doesn't seem to affect the other frequencies when it hits. It feels as if the extra bass comes "for free".
