If the log shows a modern version of EAC being used (1.0+), then no checksum being appended is definitely suspect. It's set "on" by default I believe, and you'd have to purposely turn it off on a modern version of EAC to not have a checksum.

Regardless, report this shit. I hope apollo's staff actually take offenses like this seriously, since no one should be uploading shit like this.

HDB internals can be pretty shit given that almost anyone can release their own encodes as internal. Their quality control is not that good for initial groups, so if a movie gets its first HDB internal encode it could be horrible until it gets proper'ed by a better (and usually more renowned) group.

pth should implement a random quiz for each user that asks them to identify atleast 5 spectrals, and decide whether or not its a transcode. if they fail, they get banned

I still find it hard to believe a label would be this incompetent at burning CDs though. Since its XLD, check if it says "Media type : Pressed CD" at the top, that's another good indicator.

Old versions of XLD don't have it I believe, so it doesn't really mean anything. It was more of a shot in the dark.

If it showed "not a pressed CD" that would have been a good indicator that someone probably took a bunch of youtube2mp3 tracks, burned them to CD and then ripped them for a "100%" log, but not having the string probably just means its an old version of XLD.

The spectrals are still super suspect though. If the uploader can't prove ownership of the actual CD then I don't think it will be marked as "lossy master".
