lossless source
you can convert it downwards to a lot of formats, for ripping to CDs/putting on your ipod/whatever/uploading v2 v0 320 to PTs
makes it easier to avoid dodgy transcodes like 192 > 320 because you have the lossless source

FLAC cons:
sounds the same as a proper 320 and takes up a lot more space
less compatibility with music players (if you're using super pleb shit)

if you don't care about uploading shit and you trust the source you're getting the 320/v0 from, don't bother with flac.
