Bought a digital ocean
what install?
digital fish
digital mermaids

Cancel your account and use Vultr instead. And bask in the glory of being able to use arbitrary ISOs, and even have them download ISOs server-side using their phat-ass pipes.
But yes, Digital Ocean is quite nice and I used it for about half a year. I'm on Vultr now though, since I can get the equivalent of what I used to for sliiiightly less.
So my friend bought a pre-built pc with a 970 as his graphics card of choice regardless of me telling him to wait. How retarded is he?
Thank god I don't have friends
>waitfags
Are you so poor that you have to dedicate time and effort into saving a few dollars on the perfect upgrade window?
Why not spend that time and effort on getting a job so you can afford to upgrade whenever you want?
>>55094924
Friends don't let friends buy prebuilts.
I have a question /g/entoomen, why are smart phones so weak in terms of durability?
You bring your phone everywhere with you now, it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect that manufacturers would take a little more consideration in improving shock absorption on top of a case.
What happened to the days of the nokia meme?
>>55094804
muh thinness
they want you to buy the latest model every 6-12 months
Some of them are.

my computer screen is very wobbly but it doesn't seem like the hinges will just fully break.
I have a macbook pro (plz no bully) so does anyone know of any cases where the hinges completely break on one of those? or do they just get very loose ??
>>55094720
Look under you computer and see if there are any screws located close to the hinge-part of your PC.
Loose hinges are just loose screws, so just tighten those screws.
Dont know how macbooks are, but every computer I've had loose hinges on in the past have been solvable this way.
How have you managed that? I've got quite a lot of Mac laptops (two of which I've used for over 10 years), and the hinges are as good as new.
You must be one of those faggots who slams the screen shut and yanks it open.
>>55094752
I would have to open the whole thing up to tighten them so if its not going to just fall off it's not worth taking it apart.
>>55094759
I've had it for 5 years and no I was actually very careful when opening and closing it.
Has anyone used one of these things before or had time to compare them to other Wireless Routers?
How are they? Worth the price or just full of meme software such as IFTTT.
>>55094659
Whatever happened to Amazon Echo, anyway? Does anyone use it? And does Amazon have their own Google Voice/Siri/Cortanigger tech they've been working on?
>>55095107
That's a router
>>55095126
Well duh, Anon. I can see it says "OnHub" both in the pic and in the filename. It just reminded me of Amazon Echo.
Why does every laptop I've ever own end up having a broken hinge? Is there not a single brand that actually makes durable hinges? My current laptop (samsung) has barely lasted 2 years before a hinge broke
Stop moving your shitty laptops around my the monitor instead of the chassis, you fucking mouthbreather.
>>55094630
I never move it around by the monitor. I even made sure to open it gently with this laptop to prevent hinge damage and it still happened. Perhaps Samsung is just a really shitty brand
I feel you OP
>>55094630
This guy doesn't understand, if you move it by the base the screen can still wobble and break eventually.
Really though after a few years I expect it, plastic breaks.
>Built new gayming rig a while ago

Serious question /g/, and dont bamboozle me on this.
Is this site safe to use if you use windows 10?
Thanks to anyone who gives a serious answer instead of trolling.
- Mike
No, because if you're stupid enough to use Win10, you're stupid enough to download some ransomware shit from it.
Not trolling.
>>55094383
The trolls are evolving. They've learned to say "not trolling" in a vain bid give their shitposting some legitimacy.
Pilates away, OP.

Claiming you're not trolling is against the trolling code of conduct
I've heard complaints that 25 is too small for a 1440p monitor and that 27 is the sweet spot. Would I be better off going for a Korean Crossover 2795 or an Acer 257HU.
Anyone have a bad experience with a Korean panel?
MB on the JPEG on the first picture
I actually have the 257HU. Yes it is small for 1440p, but it's not bad at all. Don't bother with trying to adjust the DPI settings or anything. Just use it as is and your eyes will get used to it. I right now use a 24 in 1080p monitor next to my 257HU and my eyes have no problems.
I bought a g257hu a couple of months ago as a secondary display to my Dell U2414H. No dead/stuck pixels, barely any backlight bleeding, but the brightness and screen uniformity in general was pretty bad.
There were several dark splotches and 'lines' all over the screen, especially horizontally. It's commonly known as "dirty screen effect". I'm extremely sensitive to inconsistencies in displays so this bothered me a lot. I ended up selling it a month later.
The U2414H on the other hand is almost perfect. No dse, great brightness uniformity and very little backlight bleeding.
As for the size, I think 25" 1440p is ok, especially if you prefer higher ppi to screen size.
Name one editor better than Vim.

Remember when 4.3 inch phones were considered fuck huge and shit on I reviews?
And now all phones are even bigger than this shit.
>tfw everything below 5 inches feels super small and borderline unusable nowadays
I have large hands so I'm completely fine with the way it is now.
>>55094144
Agreed, typing on my mom's iPhone 6 is painful. I even regret picking up my S7 over the S7 Edge, I hate the edge gimmick but 5.2 inches feels small now.
I like Fi so far, but is there some way to only receive voicemails in the hangouts app? Seems kinda silly to get notifications of voicemails in two separate apps

BLUETOOTH MECHANICAL KEYBOARD. where do i get one?
That looks like a Kineses. It's a rubberdome, sorry.
You get a keyboard with detachable cable
Get a 3rd party Bluetooth adapter
>>55094132
i have never considered this. interesting.
now i feel retarded.
With a CEO that actually supports user privacy instead of generating profit from the exact opposite, and the limitations between platforms slowly shrinking, is now the time for iPhone to represent the privacy conscious?
My reasoning:
-Encryption enabled by default
-Photo analysis utilities will be locally processed
-Frequent updates, especially when exploits are discovered (compared to Samsung especially)
-Not reliant on Google services
As for Android,
-Less updates, updates controlled by carriers instead of manufacturer
-Many manufacturers, not necessarily a good thing since some have shipped with malware in the past
-Less strict analysis of newly submitted apps
Please prove me wrong, I love my android but if apple is better for privacy I'm making the switch
>>55094065
All cell phones are botnet.
>support privacy
>not open source
Foh shizzle mah nizzle. This is the number condition to trust them. I won't stop using self compiled aosp without google botnet. I may try copperhead android at some point
>>55094065
Both are equally shit.
f I cash in a 1000 USD on a gaming rig, with the new RX480, would it be worth the money?
Dunno, 480 isn't out yet
