Now that all of the dust has mostly settled regarding Tek Syndicate,
What are your thoughts now on Level1Techs, Tek Syndicate (CritTV), Bryan Lunduke?

I still think Logan is a faggot, nothing has changed in that regard.
I would rather watch L1, I watched the show for the cuddly neckbeard, not the git who tries to (((review))) things and instead reads off the brochure
I'll start.
Post away
That's a server and also not your connection but rather a random image from the internet.

mhm okay buddy
What is the fastest internet that one person needs?
100mbps down
10mbps up
>have a 300 mbit/s option
>get the 40 mbit/s subscription
I really don't need any faster. Only hoarders and the impatient will tell you otherwise.
I would argue for a small but stable 4 Mbps down/2 Mbps up connection.
1] 1080p VP9 YT streams only use ~2 Mbps
2] large uploads/downloads can be done while sleeping. 8 Hours would mean ~15GB downloaded/ ~7.5GB uploaded
Of course faster internet would be nice but like you said it's what someone would need not want.
What can I do with Wireshark? Is it possible to simply setup a wifi hotspot at the train station and steal passwords of everyone who connects?
Also how can my ISP or uni sysadmin possible know that im using Wireshark?
Why would you download something without knowing what to use it for? Fucking retard.

I have 36 hours to become adept and knowledgeable at java. What resources do you recommend?
Books are out of the question. Need something faster.

Good luck bro.

A glock and a single 9mm round
Youtube-dl refuses to start downloading a livestream from the beginning. For example, say a YouTube livestream has already been running for 1 hour. If I start Youtube-dl, it will start the download from wherever the stream is currently at and continues from there. It does NOT download that previous hour. What do?
I thought YouTube doesn't make the entire stream available until after the broadcast ends.
>>59387711
You can only go back 3 hours of a stream while it's live. But YouTube-dl can download a stream live. But it doesn't download what happened previously. Look at the example I provided in the original post.
So why dont you bring it up at there their github?

>this is how the average person uses a linux distribution
lets recap:
>opens reddit
>opens YouTube
>skips past all free software, programming options
>goes straight into minecraft and gaymes
Tell me again /g/ - do you still believe that the year of the linux desktop will ever arrive?

>invest lots of time into GNU/Linux because of using minecraft a lot
>start to figure out how things work
>start to enjoy fucking around with bash
>start to program
How is this a bad thing, OP?

I bought a U2414H and I'm loving it, I see stuff I could not even see before on my old shitty TF monitor but I have a problem, dark stuff is TOO dar, I can barely see it, this was a thing with my old CRT too, I'm using the default srgb since other modes are even darker
Should I modify anything or am I not supposed to see dark stuff?
>>59387313
Stupid questions thread. Also use color calibration software.
nice monitor, got two of them
but this was not worth a thread
also calibrate it to your likings if you want to
change your contrast settings
I use a private password-protected internet connection (WPAWPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES) with a IP address assigned to me by my internet provider that never changes.
Apparently someone this afternoon with the same IP address as mine posted on /v/ & /aco/ and got a 30 day ban. These two boards I've never posted on before.
I'm wondering how is it possible that someone with my IP address was able to post on here...
A. Did they somehow hack my wifi password and were able to access my internet connection to post bullshit on 4chan? This seems highly unlikely due to the rural area I live in. They would of had to of been in my driveway while doing it...
B. Is it possible that a 4chan mod banned the wrong IP address or was able to change the IP address that got banned?
C. I have a chrome extension called Tuxler which is a proxy/vpn that I use to access youtube and other sites that have regional restrictions. Is the app possibly using my internet connection as a proxy/vpn when I have it on and allowing others to post under my IP?
D. I'm a regular on /pol/ and lots of discussions about the CIA have taken place. Can the CIA or another intelligence agency post on 4chan with my IP address?
I'm just trying to figure out how this is possible. Thanks /g/.
>>59387248
Did they steak your IP or your IP?
>>59387248
>Can the CIA or another intelligence agency post on 4chan with my IP address?
Yes, that's exactly what happened.

It would be history repeated as a farce. Tons of projects started here just have a logo and mission statement without a single line of code.

What will it take /g/ to realize there's more to technology than operating systems, processors and browsers? What happened to REAL tech discussions? Every thread is exactly the fucking same.
>>59386985
This happens whenever new shit is released.
