It only matters if there is slippage or a rupture. If the spine is in the right place and supported with muscle these won't happen. And that's easy to accomplish with a squat or deadlift because they are natural movements. Being under a heavy load a few seconds a day isn't going to cause wear and tear. Your dad spends most of his time working on fatties and injury victims, not old weightlifters.

I don't know if you're looking for a specific anon but I hear number crunching by a lot of you about specifics with insulin resistance, fasting increasing your BMR, etc...and I don't know, I'm not really an expert on any of it. I do IF and allegedly, that keeps your BMR higher because of your insulin not spiking, but I'm just more focused on CICO. The only thing I know for sure is nutrient deficiency, and that's bad for the long term for sure, I take multis and try to eat protein to keep as much muscle as possible.

Are you doing IF?

Raise your calories gradually and you'll find where your actual TDEE is. If you need a rest and don't want to gradually increase then go up to what your TDEE calculates to do that for a little while, but if your BMR has dropped you'll be above your TDEE. A week or two won't kill you though.

If you aren't doing IF, start. Do it with a tight window for a while to help combat insulin resistance that you might have from being a mealcuck.

Don't know if there's a guide, but you gotta get a good camera, have someone who understands how to use that camera effectively and go to a scenic place.

Use of color is the most important aspect of the photography aspect, time of day and lighting, you want to get certain colors. Depending on where you live, embrace nature. Also if you have friends who are not quite as attractive as you, but still moderately attractive post pictures going out (during the day) with them, it will make you look proportionally more attractive.

Nighttime photos should be relegated to social events.

Depends on your skin tone and region.

Generally if you're in Florida, Australia, LA or the Mediterranean you need a tan on instagram, if you're in a place like the Northeast or British Isles you can probably get away without one.

If you're trying to do cute over slutty a tan is less necessary, but still, if you're in one of those regions you need one

Eating naturally upsets your body's metabolic state by having to release a number of hormones and chemicals to digest food and to keep blood-sugar balanced. If you've disrupted your eating schedule significantly to lose weight, eating can shock your body since it's not used to that. Anorexic people can go into shock and even die (their body is already weakened considerably by malnutrition) if they're forced to eat after a long period of fasting. You've also likely conditioned the feeling of fullness with being bad. This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion for this thread, but you shouldn't eat too little (or too much obviously). Your body needs balance. My advice is to eat small meals/snacks to get your body used to handling incoming food again. Focus on eating WELL rather than just eating little. You do not want to vomit up the little nutrition you're giving yourself. I'm not a fan of the super thin/emaciated look, but if you're going to do it, please be safe about it.

I have a bit of a weird problem anons. I'm 5'2 trying to get back to around 100 lbs. When I was 110, my doctor told me I looked way too thin (looking back at pictures I definitely looked small). However, I have a friend who is also 5'2 and has a tummy and a bit of chub at the same weight? It honestly confuses the shit out of me (and makes me want to lose more).

I guess what I'm asking is..is it possible to look skinnier or heavier than you really are? How is that possible?

Thank you for asking these questions because I'm so tired of people telling me I look great and I'm crazy for trying to lose. My lowest weight was 99-100 lbs. I use to be a ballerina but stopped dancing in college. I started gaining little by little. I use to have a very strict diet but my friends at school would coax me into eating more because they thought I was too thin. And me, like a fucking moron, completely fucked my diet. I ate junk food all the time, justified it by purging, then would go on heavy binge cycles. Not to mention drinking. College really fucked me up.

This is my highest weight and I hate it. Now that I'm finally living alone I'm currently restricting at 700-900. So far so good. I'm also losing weight to go back into dancing in hopes that'll keep me on the right path.

Good luck to you. You know what went wrong so this time around will be much easier. I get a lot of pressure to eat more junk also, it can be hard because eating junk food is now socially acceptable. Where thin used to be socially acceptable, now thin is an outlier that gets attacked pretty hard.

Baby rice cookies (Baby & Toddler Mum Mum), Fibre One bars, Special K bars, Fruit, Vegetables (Steamed veggies if you want something heartier), Applesauce, Pudding, Lipton Cup of Soup (The sachets, they're between 50 & 80 cals a pack depending on what you get). I love baby food pouches but as a man you might look weird eating them in public.

My body dysmorphia got the best of me... I thought I had gained weight over the holidays and the stress of that was driving me crazy so I weighed myself last night and... I reached my goal weight!!!

I will try to go back towards my lowest weight, but I had some health problems back then so I might need to gain back to my GW.

Also - This salad was delicious and only 210 calories

1/4 cup edamame/soybean (President's choice, frozen)
1/2 small California Avocado
1 red bell pepper
1/4 large cucumber

A squeeze of lemon and salt for seasoning (And to keep avocado from browning).

I got these tiny 2-cup tumerwares and they are perfect for packing lunches, it's hard to fit over 300 cals into one.

I add a very little bit of feta cheese to my salads, it's delicious but you have to be careful with it because it gets fat very quickly. Just a teaspoon or so is good.

I hear that people also use hummus as a dressing sometimes but I haven't tried that as much and I'm not sure how healthy that is.

Same here. When I was younger, I was in gymnastics, and my teacher would always tell me I needed to lose weight and loudly mock and call me names like "chubby butt" in front of the rest of the class. When I started trying to fix my weight in highschool and joined a "for fun" soccer team my step-dad helped coach on, I was benched most of the time and none of the other girls liked me because I was too fat - and said as much to my face. My mom was also very abusive and targeted my weight a lot.

It made me really self conscious and I never wanted to go out and exercise because I felt like I didn't belong. I became withdrawn, depressed, and anti-social. I felt worthless and suicidal, and didn't even see myself as a real person. Now, almost 10 years later, I've been able to get over the paranoia about my weight and how people perceive me, mostly thanks to the body positive movement that's been going on. I feel a lot better about myself, I go out, I exercise, I eat healthy. I've lost a ton of weight so far, and I don't hate myself.

While I don't think obesity should be normalized or promoted, I also don't think abuse, shaming, and self-hatred are the ways to go on this.
