The whole needing a lure for good behavior team is a good reason but lets be honest, The Prime Thunderbolts team is made up of nigh unkillable people so their chance for failure that ends up with them dead is going to be rare.

Between Songbird's power creep that is going to happen until she is mind controlling people, Juggs is still going strong until he gets on new excalibur, Moonstone only gets stronger from here on out, Cage is Cage and who can even fuck with Ghost? From the way stark talked about it, hierarchy of intelligence in the universe places him at third, just under people like Pym and Stark so really.
