The reason there's a feudal japanese castle in the middle of New York City, on the other hand? Well, during Dark Reign, it was brought to Norman Osborn's attention that hand ninjas that worked for Daredevil were killing cops (they were corrupt). He sent Bullseye to do something about it.

He tried capturing Bullseye by blowing up an apartment complex filled with people.

Shadowland was built by the Hand as their new fortress on the ground that apartment stood.

Shadowland seems to take place in a vague point in the timeline, after Siege, and when Luke Cage forms his own Avengers team, but before New Avengers #1 actually starts.

We've read a few books that take place after this before I found myself unable to storytime, but most of them weren't as good as Parkerbolts, so I left that for last.

Funny that one Anon just finished up with him in Spider-Girl. He joined up with Matt in Brubaker's Daredevil. He and White Tiger were killed and revived by the Hand, but his healing factor let him shrug off the brainwashing and keep his own mind, while White Tiger is a loyal follower of the Hand, but still answers to Daredevil, as their leader.

I guess when they managed to get Wolverine, they did something special.

Okay, "The Beast." This is one of the things people don't like about this event, and even I think it's one of the weak parts of it, and I DEFEND this crap.

It can be traced back to that Elektra miniseries that Frank Miller did, although back then it was relatively ambiguous if it actually existed.

A little of both. The Beast was originally mentioned, as far as I know, in a Frank Miller mini in the 80's, and as >>90190026 mentions, you can bring up the possibility that it's responsible for the magic and supernatural crap they've been able to do since their inception.

That said, originally the idea was that Daredevil was turning evil, and as we saw in Bendis's Daredevil run where he declared himself the new ruler of Hell's kitchen, it wouldn't be as out of character as you'd expect, so it's a bit of a cheat.

Question. Hopefully you can answer this for me PMIFAnon, I've been reading the old IF/H4H and I've seen Danny and Misty's dynamic grow and evolve and I'm fond of the ying/yang they have as a couple. I know of that horrible Tyrone King/Danny cancer thing, that most people hate. And, it does get brought up by anti- Danny/Misty stans. The "canonisity" of it remains up for debate, because modern writers obviously don't want to touch it.

I really like them together, but there's definitely a lot of work that needs to be done to get them together, forever in a stable position. In IIF he calls himself a "lousy boyfriend". Any idea why?

Gonna say I'm impressed by how Finn Jones handled himself in this interview. He address the issue of more diversity in media, and also Asian-American frustrations regarding Iron Fist. (Which a lot of people arguing for canon Danny dismiss.) He seems to really understand Danny and how he's not a "white saviour", and pretty much the opposite. It was frustrating to me explaining Danny as a fan, let a lone as the lead actor. He handled the question with aplomb. I'm quite excited to see him as Danny, and I hopeful he'll do an excellent job.
