I had an idea for a comic and I've already imagined the first 4 issues. Gonna post my ideas.
It's called Symbiote Squad.

The first issue would start with Flash returning to Earth to find Mania, she'd be pretty upset with him for just going to space. She'd also probably make fun of his new look, and he'd make a new look that is a combination of space knight and agent venom. Eddie (still Toxin at this time) reveals he's been keeping an eye on her, because he's still not the biggest fan of symbiotes, and didn't trust her. Anyway, Flash eventually convinces Eddie to help them get rid of the demon inside of Mania, but they have to return to Vegas, where the mark was first put on the Venom symbiote. They travel there and before they even try to start any exorcism, Toxin senses something, and leads them to some sort of cocoon hidden in an alley in Vegas somewhere. When they see it, the Toxin symbiote rips itself away from Eddie, and rejoins with the cocoon, revealing to be the barely alive Pat Mulligan, and the orignal Toxin is returned. When Black heart ripped the symbiote away and almost beat him to death, a small part of the symbiote split itself off and kept Pat alive. Meanwhile, while Flash and Pat are getting to know each other, Eddie isn't feeling too well from the symbiote seperation. At the same time, Scorn appears and has her robot arm fashioned into a sonic canon, and attacks everyone with it. She's here because she doesn't like symbiotes either and is gonna bring them all in or something. However, before she can fire another blast, everyone turns to see Eddie transform back into Antivenom. Cliffhanger ending to issue 1.

Issue 2 picks up right where that left off, with Scorn trying to fire her sonic cannon at Eddie, not realizing it doesn't work on Antivenom. She wasn't planning on him being there. They get into a fight, and Flash figures that Eddie's Anti-symbiote had never been fully gone, just slowly regenerating after spider-island. The introduction of the Toxin symbiote to Eddie's body had just suppressed it even further, but the sudden separation with Toxin brought it to the surface. Anyway, they all fight for a bit with Toxin, Flash, and Mania trying to get it under control. The fight leads them into the middle of Mysterio trying to rob a casino. Mysterio has upgraded himself since we last saw him, and has portable alternate dimension technology from spider-men. Instead of just using illusions, he's bringing in real monsters and creatures from other universes in his robbing schemes. The symbiotes all decide they should stop Mysterio considering innocent people might get hurt, and Mysterio, knowing he's outmatched, flees, and activates something that sucks all the creatures back into their respective dimensions. The symbiotes agree to stop fighting since they can see that they're all good guys, and Scorn leads them back to her temporary base of operations, so they can track down Mysterio. At the base, Scorn reveals she also has Lasher the dog (with 4 of the symbiotes of Mercury team), and used him to track down the other symbiotes. Lasher does not like Antivenom, considering Eddie's the one who killed Hybrid. Anyway, they track down Mysterio, but he's prepared for them this time, and says he knows exactly how to fight them. He raises his arms and tons of portals open, with tons of Carnages from different realities popping out. End of issue 2.

Issue 3 starts with a big splash page of a ton of Carnages. Carnage from 1602, Carnage possessing silver surfer, Spider-Carnage, Superior Carnage, Ultimate Carnage, just a ton of them. They don't know why they're here all of a sudden, but they see the symbiotes and immediately attack them. A huge fight breaks out that probably takes up most of the issue. Antivenom is depowering as many as he can, but it would take too long to completely depower each one, so he's basically just stunning each one as fast as he can. Scorn is blasting sonics, but they're starting to overwhelm her, and the same goes for Flash, Toxin, and Lasher but they all have experience fighting him. Mania is struggling because she's still the newest one, and one Carnage manages to get the upper hand on her and knocks her down. He goes to deliver a killing blow, but is suddenly slammed away by another Carnage. The Carnage says something like "killing a young girl? I knew I was bad, but was I really that bad?" He helps her up and they continue fighting.

(Issue 3 continued)

At this point, Scorn devises a plan, but she needs Mysterio's tech. Toxin grabs him by the fishbowl head and grabs a Carnage by the head, and bashes their heads together, knocking them unconcious. While the others cover her, she uses her arm to interact with the tech, and opens all the Carnages portals that start sucking them all back to their universes. The Carnage that helped Mania grabs something and begs not to go back, saying "it's no fun to be good when everyone else is bad!" and Mania grabs on to him before he's sucked through. The portal closes without him going through. He explains that he comes from an Earth where the AXIS inversion happened, but it was never reversed, and that that world went to hell. The others except Mania are wary of him, and Lasher hates him too, considering their Carnage killed Mercury team. Carnage comments about what a good team they made and comes up with the name. The others kind of think it's a good idea, and need to keep an eye on Carnage anyway. And the first arc is done and the team is formed. The epilogue is a figure on a rooftop watching them, commenting on how Flash has found some new playmates. It's Jack O Lantern.

Issue 4 starts with them heading out on a plane to new York. Flash got a message from spider-man to talk to him in person, and they realized there's not much they can do by themselves about the devil's mark by themselves, so they're gonna see doctor strange too. And Pat wants to check on his family to just let them know he's alive. During the flight, Flash explains what happened with the symbiote in space, and Carnage comments that Klyntar is a stupid name and that he's just gonna keep calling it a symbiote. Mania asks if Lasher's gonna be okay in the cargo, and there's a scene in the cargo with a bunch of dogs barking and then Lasher roars with his symbiote to shut them all up. Later, after they land, they're all traveling together and there's a large boom in a nearby bank. It's being robbed by the superior foes (other low tier villains would work too, but I love the foes). Andi is just like "seriously? We just got here!" And Eddie says "Welcome to new York". They jump in to stop them and the foes are hilariously outgunned. Shocker gives them some trouble, but most of them are just terrified of the symbiotes. Overdrive tries getting in a car to get away, but toxin lands on the hood and basically makes him shit himself. Carnage also saves a little girl from falling debris in the battle and she hugs him.

Spider-man swings by because he hears the alarm, and speed demon throws himself at his feet asking him to save them. Spider-man looks up to see the squad and just kind of groans to see so many symbiotes. Later, Flash is catching spider-man up about what happened in space and forming their squad. Peter also agrees that klyntar is a dumb name. Andi comments that Peter has a cute butt, and then flash and Peter go talk privately. Peter tells him he learned Flash's identity recently, and then Peter unmasks. Flash is shocked, but in a good way. It basically plays out like in the secret wars spider island tie in. (I'm throwing around the idea of Eddie walking into the room and remembering his identity, just because I want him to remember. He wouldn't be mad at him because he's made his peace.) Also, Peter would ask if the symbiote still hated him, and Flash would just tell him no, but it doesn't like him. Peter would also say hi to Pat. They would say their goodbyes and Pat would head off to his family and the rest to doctor strange. The end is Pat getting home and finding nobody home and the place trashed and with a message written on the wall in possibly blood "Tell Flash Jack says hi"

Flash moved to Philly in Venom volume 2, #31, and that's near when he met Andi. that series ended at #42 I think?
There was also Superior Carnage which didn't really matter and wasn't really a symbiote story, but it healed Carnage from his lobotomy. There was then Deadpool versus Carnage which had all of mercury team as well as Carnage. And AXIS Carnage was only 4 issues, but it was absolutely amazing.
Flash went to space to join the Bendis of the galaxy. Don't worry about that.

I don't hate him, but I think he should be used sparingly or Marvel can just say "fuck it" and make him go full slasher movie villain. I want to see him get all fucked up in increasingly ridiculous ways until he ends up like Jason...in space.
Where he'll fight Flash. Because if he's used too much in too similar ways, he gets stale. Nothing it wrong with a character who's crazy for the sake of crazy, but it's easy for such a character to fall into ditch where what they do becomes predictable and just boring. You know he's going to murder a lot of people, it's going to be taken super seriously, but then he's stopped. They've been trying to play up the horror aspect, which is pretty nice for once even if it's hit or miss.

It's why people love Carnage-Man, it was a nice change of pace and gave him a new direction after it seemed like he had done everything. Dark humor works really well with Carnage, and I think they should take a dark humor direction more often with him. I guess it makes sense why he was so overused when he came back because he was gone for a couple years, and we needed an evil symbiote again. Now he's just gotten predictable. I guess that's what happens with comic book villains in general, but fuck.
A new direction is needed.
And not a new direction like Broxin. Fuck Broxin.

I'm down with this.

Though personally I choose to believe that Pat was left for dead somewhere by Crimemaster's goons. Your typical,'We've hurt him so much that he's BOUND to die soon, let's leave him to suffer' bullshit.

Pat lies there, bleeding out as he listens to the screams of Toxin being dragged away. As he starts to pass out, drifting off into death, he starts apologising to Spidey, to Toxin, to his wife, to his son that he's not seen in years. Now he never will. He's failed to keep a single one of his promises, and now Toxin is going to be corrupted and used for evil.

Cue big pappa bear instincts. Pat promised to look after Toxin, and ensure that the symbiote grew up right. Ate it's vegetables before getting treats, knew right from wrong, looked both ways before crossing the street. He already can't be there for his son, and now this? Throw in a vision of his son bonding with a now corrupted Toxin, and both of them mocking him for failing so hard. Pat ain't having none of this shit.

He drags himself to the nearest hospital, and spends the next few months/years/whatever getting patched up and recovering. Lies and says he doesn't remember who he is or what happened to him. Can't have any word getting around that he's still alive. It'd cause Crimemaster to come after him/go after his wife.

Calling in a few favours from his cop days, or just his knowledge, he starts training and preparing. He's got to be ready. Think Frank Castle becoming The Punisher. Keeping his head down and his ear to the ground, he tracks any mention of Toxin, or any of the symbiotes. He's full on Unperson at this point. No one knows who he is, what he's up to, or even if he's still alive.

Later, it got it in its head that it wanted some magic power to give it an extra edge in some uncoming spawning season that was gonna hit all the symbiotes on Earth, so it made a deal with Mephisto and got a hellmark.

Later, Daimon Hellstrom tried to get the symbiote demonically possessed so he could control Venom, but instead the demon got trapped in the hellmark, unable to escape. The symbiote loathed the idea of sharing a host, so at the first chance it got, it shunted the demon and the hellmark into the clone and gave it to a young girl called Andi that Flash was trying to save. She dubbed herself Mania and was Agent Venom's sidekick for the latter half of Agent Venom.

Her plot got abruptly left hanging when Bendis demanded he get Agent Venom for his GotG book.

Despite her contrived origin she was well written and a lot of people were pissed she just got abandoned against her creator's wishes.

They were not fully bonded just after she got the symbiote. They weren't in any rush when they were standing on the rooftop, in fact nothing happened for several days.
Flash was not AWOL, the military project was already shut down. The Avengers knew where he was, and he was still keeping contact with Beast who supplied him with the drugs. Hell, Beast was going to analyze that mechanical alien shit Flash encountered in Philly.
One is a soldier. The other is a teenage girl. There is a huge difference. Not to mention Flash did everything he could to suppress the symbiote's nature and never give in to its bloodlust.
He did have drugs left, he even asked Andi to use it on him a few issues later if his memory scrying doesn't turn out well.

I was born in the 80s and collected most Venom books ever since, including holos of oldies like the Lethal Protector series, but I was sort of worried for his future when they sent him to space and now my fears have played out.

At least I can sit back and reread one of the best eras in Spider books - that beautiful time when Scarlet Spider and Venom had their own books.

That's so dumb.

If I recall correctly, the Symbiotes were all meant to attach to and drain as many hosts as possible, and were generally pretty evil. Venom was kicked out because he wanted to bond and co-exist with his host. Only reason he became rage-filled was because his first host rejected him, and all the symbiotes spawned from Venom reflected similar personality traits (wanting to bond permenantly but exhibiting rage).

I never thought of it until /co/ mentioned it, but I like the idea of Symbiotes actually bonding with the flesh and bone of the user and being able to manipulate it. Something like out of Prototype.
