So I finally finished watching the Disney Shorts collection earlier this evening, and there was a short called "The Ballad of Nessie." Holy Walt's Frozen Head, I was not prepared for such a cute female dragon. Why haven't I heard of this short before, and how come no-one talks about it?I may have cried for her. A bit.
>>78887830
About 2/3 of the shorts on that collection seem to exist for the sole purpose of making the audience cry.
>>78887830
Congratulations: you are now a waifufag.
May your life be filled with happinessoh, who am I kidding.
>>78888663
Does it really happen that fast?
Does /co/ like Don Rosa?
fuck yes
>>78887704
nopewe adore him
He's good but a fanboy creator.
Do modern day cartoons still have downer endings?
>>78887533
nope
Define "modern."
Within the last 2 years? Not that I can think of.
Well Clone High had one but that's only because it got cancelled.
What was the last good X-Men run? Have there been any good ones over the past few years? Bendis's run was dumb, Lemire's current one is mediocre, Cullen Bunn's Uncanny is laughably bad, though his Magneto is decent.
Everything sucks.
Wells New Mutants
inb4 Gillen. It was marred by Land

Uncanny X-Force. All New X-Men was briefly good after AvX
>tfw can't draw to save my life but I can come up with some pretty bomb ass stories
Any artists working on a comic and want to team up with a writer ;_;
>>78886542
Can we talk about writing? I don't think we talk about it enough here.
Can you also write those bomb ass ideas? Have you written and finished an actual story? Because almost everyone who reads or watches movies thinks they have these "great ideas". The question is, can. you. write?
Don't be discouraged if the answer is no. I'm a writer working with an artist in a webcomic and I learned what I know by starting without realizing how much hard work it actually takes to write. Its more about execution and implementation of the idea and less about coming up with the idea. Its not the same as brainstorming.
I'm not saying you have no great ideas and perhaps you are a skilled writer but I just thought this is a subject we should talk about in general. Writing takes work and practice, and an illustrator should require examples and evidence of skill and productivity from the writer, not just ideas.
Make a series pitch/bible and an elevator pitch. Write it out. Don't just be an ideas man, be a screenplay and story director man.
Ive drawn shit for people before, the best way to do it is to not be too elaborate on the way you want things and work with the artist not just "this is how i want this and this draw it"
>Time Travel episode
>The future always ALWAYS changes for the worst
>>78886498
There are lots of ways to write a "time travel" episode, but characters going back in time to change the future, but only to be the cause is my favorite.
>it changes for the better
>it's not shown until they go back again to change one bad thing
That'd make a nice star trek episode.
>they go back to the past
>accidentally change something
>the future ends out much better
>they have to debate the ethics of an improved version of the future vs what was meant to happen, temporal prime directive etc.
>Over the last few months kaiju fans have been thrown a wealth of renewed interest in the subgenre. Godzilla vs. Kong was announced, as Godzilla Resurgence went into production. Kadokawa-Daiei showed interest in devloping a new Gamera project with CG clad footage. Skull Island is entering the last few weeks of shooting. Ultraman's 50th birthday is underway with the upcoming Ultraman X movie and the mysterious 50th anniversary project.
>Unfortunately, not all of these giant monster films may see the light of day. One in particular is heartbreaking. According to sources speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Pacific Rim 2 has been taken off the table at Universal and shelved indefinitely.

So I just saw this and I really don't get the hate.
Let's put aside ''not like muh comics!!!'' and lets judge the movie as if it was an elseworlds story.
the acting was good.
the plot was ok, the first act when they went to the other dimension and ''Doom'' got rekt was actually good.
When they presented their powers as if they were physical deformations was actually kind of cool and creepy.
What I can see that could be a problem is that you can tell that the movie is low budget in that they don't use in that the special effects sometimes look good and some others kind of bad or bland.
Black dad getting killed was kind of weird, specially when Doom didn't kill Johnny and Susan just to try to kill them like 5 minutes later.
Also the final battle was kind of dumb.
I'm not saying that it was amazing or anything, but it wasn't that bad. I take this over Thor 2 and Iron Man 3 any day of the week.
Was it because they had a black Human Torch?
Go to youtube and most of the negative comments are about that,
>>78885397
You presented your arguement in worst format possible.
>the acting was good.
>the plot was ok
it was laughable
>What I can see that could be a problem is that you can tell that the movie is low budget
the budget was 120 mil
>Also the final battle was kind of dumb.
>I really don't get the hate
you answered your own question
>Was it because they had a black Human Torch?
the short answer is yes, the long answer involves nepotism and idociacy by the director
>Go to youtube and most of the negative comments are about that,
>reading youtube comments
that one is self explanatory
>>78885397
Is this honkey serious?
>>78885519
you didn't actually reply anything
>ITTN: Character that should have been aborted
Figuratively and Literally
>>78885114
What a remarkably pointless addition to the series.
you

GO HOME, TOMMY!
god tier comics, cartoons and graphic novels, all genres, all times. there can only be a maximum of 12. which make it? start with this one, ill add more
next (in no particular order)
my personal favorite by moore next
break the fourth wall a bit with this one. it IS a great comic.
What does /co/ think about Powerpuff Girls D? I remember reading this shit 10 years ago.
>>78883877
Wasted potential: the comic. The art and the story are too complex in places they don't need to be, and it all smacks of bad fanfiction at every turn
>>78883877
i like some of it
>>78883877
I remember liking Grim Tales more.
This was one of those shows man. Good fights and action with a great hero getting his ass saved by his not girlfriend.
Although I do say it mostly just came off as a decent yet simplistic animation when I was younger. I didn't understand why the hero would pass that ass up all the time. Until I realized lmao reverse tusendere.
I'm a going to revive jetix. And Fox block and fucking Saturday morning cartoons if I ever become God of tv.
>>78883876
he didnt seem very tsundere to me... i think he was just terrified of the unfamiliar.
>>78883876
My sister told us not to watch it because it was racist
this show isfun.
i just watched the first few episodes and loved it instantly.
>Lovecraftian themed
>obnoxious as well as subtle comedy
>Aubrey Plaza
>Rob Riggle
although, what's the deal with the first season 2 episode called Pilot?
>>78883672
Because it went from being a short on Fox ADHD to a show on Fox's main channel, albeit briefly.
>>78883728
oh.
i'm also surprised that Fox even aired this show because of the innuendos and gore.
>>78883868
their version had more of it
Why is Adult Swim pushing her so hard? She's not funny.
Why did you make this thread?
>>78883039
dude i dont get it either.
>>78883039
Because they want more rule34 of her.
