>It's a two characters that hate each other are forced to work together due to unforeseen circumstances episode
Reminder that /co/ has to make these shitty trope threads because western animation sucks and offers no stimulation.

>>81295747
Its not though. It is objectively Power Girl and a side of Wonder Woman
>>81295780
Is Power Girl and actual good character or is she popular just because of her tits?

Silver Surfer:
>Movie begins on the Utopian planet of Zenn- La
>Norrin Radd, a soldier, lives in peace with Shalla-Bal, his wife/lover
>Galactus, a cosmic entity attacks the peaceful planet, causing many of the inhabitants (including Shalla-Bal) to flee in escape pods
>Norrin stays behind to fight Galactus
>after Galactus has defeated most of the planets military, Norrin climbs to the top of a tower and attempts to talk to Galactus
>he offers to sacrifice himself so Galactus will spare his planet
>Galactus agrees and gifts him with the power cosmic, and a Silver Surfboard and commands him to find new worlds for Galactus to consume
cont.
>>81293280
>modern day, Earth
>Surfer has rebelled against Galactus and is hiding on Earth (can be revealed through narration or in a later scene)
>the government has seen reports of the Silver Surfer on Earth, Herbert Edgar Wyndham (High Evolutionary), a genetecist and physicist leads the "Silver Surfer project" (that's where he gets his name, previously referred to as Norrin Radd)
>Wyndham has Genetically modified himself to become highly evolved and impossibly intelligent, he also discovers the power cosmic
>Wyndham uses the governments resources to secretly create a weapon to combat the power cosmic, and a suit which can withstand it
cont.
>>81293323
>High Evolutionary tracks down Surfer by the cosmic rays he emits, and uses his weapon to drain the Cosmic from Surfer and give it to himself
>Galactus, searching for Surfer, who betrayed him, dons a new Herald, Terrax, leader of a violent war planet, and continues to search for Surfer
>Norrin wakes up in a government institution, he was left for dead by the Evolutionary who is now Wreaking havoc with the power Cosmic, trying to evolve everything to become as intelligent as he
>Norrin befriends a government official, and explains to them that High Evolutionary posesses the power cosmic, and if they can shut down his suit, he can at least get some of it back so he can stand a chance
>also tells government about Galactus, and how he betrayed him and fled to Earth
>government works with Norrin to build a device that can beat the High Evolutionary
cont.
>>81293336
>Norrin escapes from the government institution when the Evolutionary destroys the building (he has begun destroying most of the Country/place the movie takes part in)
>Norrin obtains a laser/gun from a dead guard and shoots at Evolutionary
>High Evolutionary recognises him instantly and is intending to kill him
>suddenly, Galactus attacks Earth, with his new herald Terrax
>Galactus instructs Terrax to find Norrin, who betrayed him, and kill him, while Galactus battle the Evolutionary (both have conflicting views, Evolutionary wants the planet to thrive, Galactus wants to destroy it)
cont.

>yfw you found out the Russos were massive weeboos.
>>81293014
Seems more like an animator thing. They did something similar in Ant-Man that was there forever since Wright's reel, even. Nice catch though.
Russos are bigger hacks than Zack snyder
Might as well keep this going on.

Made a thread a while back but got no responses. I've been wanting to get into Judge Dredd for a while but never knew where to start. Picked up a couple issues yesterday at a comic shop, they were vol. 1 no. 24, 25, 26, 27, & 28 since those were the only ones they had.
They also had 2000 A.D. comics but I was confused because there were different numbered issues, some saying "featuring judge dredd" and others that didn't.
Also looked into the Case files that were available on Amazon and wondering if I should pick those up.
Just get all of the 2000 AD comics anyway cause they have a load of really good series' in anyway

Noted
http://dreddreviews.blogspot.com/2012/06/where-to-start-reading-judge-dredd.html
Basically, Volume 5 of the case files is a solid starting point, and having read it myself, I can agree: the first half of the book is basically a series of episodes tales that focus on Dredd taking on random crimes in the city, ranging from people putting contracts on themselves to black market criminals harvesting alien creatures.
The second half is where things really pick up, as it has effectively one, long story arc that starts with random riots and ends with full blown war between two Mega Cities.
The blog above also recommends "America," which is actually in print in the US now.
