What does /co/ think of legitimate western attempts at adapting Sailor Moon.

I'm not particularly against it, but these efforts invariably pull the property towards the mainstream and alienate the core fans who were attracted by the foreign perspective in the first place.
I'd rather they spend more effort at establishing the core product and the creators first, merchandising second, then worry about adaptations.
>>81254970
If they can get the original animation studios to do new shows based on those IPs then we will be fine.
Just no Korea and nothing like OP's picture.
>>81254970
In some shows the premise is far more interesting than the actual canonical story winds up being. That is all too common in longrunning anime to me with plots that go nowhere, character arcs get forgotten, But the concepts are or at least were enthralling enough to keep me with them. So I have no problem with the idea of licensing a new series from a new set of creators. I think that's kept Dragon Ball videogames interesting.
Still this is talk of a live adaptation, which makes me a bit more nervous. They can't have the same format of humor as actual cartoons and it opens up the possibility of it just being a stage play version of existing episodes. Which I probably couldn't get behind.

But in the end, as always, Thanos will stand triumphant.. Prepare yourselves. For now, I summon...the end.' Thanos says as he dispatches everyone involved
"They have, finally and for all time, shown the galaxy that they are a swarm of irresponsible, unevolved organisms, that must be put down before they destroy us all... There are many actors in this grand drama, and I, Thanos, appear to be the only participant with a full grasp on the situation"

>Rogers struggles to stand up using his shield and slowly makes his way to the Mad Titan and inevitable doom
"Your fate will lay heavily on my heart, Avenger, though by all rights it shouldn't. I did not force you to fight me. I gave you the chance to surrender the Gems. You forced me into doing what I did. I had to be faithful to my nature. For, after all, I am Thanos.

"Youre late" an amused Peggy pronounces thinking Steve would take another rain check
"I know" Steve says with a smile on his face and tears on his eyes
>Steve and Peggy starts to dance with 40s song playing in the background
"I thought you didnt know how to dance?" Peggy asks
"I had a lot of time"
>Peggy rests her head on Steve's chest
"I was worried... that you'd never make it"
"I have missed you Steve" - Peggy starts to tear up
>tears starts falling on Steve's face
>They dance as people around them start to disappear, from the howling commandos, to Howard Stark, to the bar tender and finally the bar patrons around them

"I have to go, Peg" Steve worriedly says
"They need me"
"I know" Peggy nods

This cartoon constantly plays up how attractive Dulcinea is supposed to be but she's really pretty damn ugly.
She's really not anywhere close to being this.

Its a fucking cat.
So, is the movie happening? Will it be rated PG-13 or R? If Domino gets in will they use the actual Domino or Copycat?

Jesus christ, did they really have to use the same pose four fucking times? I must admit it makes it seem like they're having an awkward pause between dialogue. Like some sort of low quality clutch cargo cartoon.

Wait, this isn't edited for comedic effect?
Welcome to the official thread of the Felidae scanlation project. I'm your friendly neighborhood Ouash (trust me on this one - I can't use my name or trip due to April Fool's...) and I'm currently working on the translation of a German comic about murder, mystery, intrigue, and sex. Oh, and all the characters are cats.
Maybe you saw the thread with the German version posted a day or two ago. Now, you'll be able to read it in English! Well, half of it. I'm currently working on the final half and will be posting pages as they're finished.
If you've already read the pages so far, stick around anyway! I've improved some dialogue from my first draft.

I know this is a stupid question, but where should I start with Batman comics/graphic novels? My favorite Batman series was the animated series from the early 90's because that's what I grew up with. I also really enjoyed the 80's Tim Burton movie, and the Nolan trilogy, so its safe to say that I like a darker/grittier Batman. The only Batman comics I've ever read were Year One, and Gotham By Gaslight.
I've heard lots of praise for:
>Dark Knight Returns
>Killing Joke
>A Death In The Family
>The Long Halloween
>The Man Who Laughs
>Arkham Asylum: A Serious House On Serious Earth
>Dark Victory
>Knightfall
Where should I go from here? Are any of these good starting points?
That certainly seems like a good starting point. If you wanna see Dick Grayson in a pretty gritty Batman story, Black Mirror is also pretty good.

Put the second half
Who was the better villain?
>>81247200
Personally I liked Killgrave more than S1 Kingpin. S2 Kingpin blows both of them out of the water though. Less KP made him more effective in my opinion.
>>81247268
Yeah me too. I liked Kilgrave better until I saw season 2 Kingpin.
>>81247200
Fisk. Even without powers. he still manage to find ways to put fear into his enemies.

Beautiful covers
I feel like this list is pretty junk and could use some updating. I say, take out the annuals throw in Seven Soldiers.
What do you guys suggest? I'll make a new image and post it.
>>81245914
Also, the list might benefit from adding all of Morrison's JLA run. It's been a while since I read it, but I recall it having a pretty tight connection to the Fourth World stuff.
>>81245914
Needs to add Super Powers
>>81246499
That's not canon.

Also underrated superhero thread.

Who is that kid OP posted? I dont think he could take on the entire league
Now Captain Marvel? He might have a chance
Remember that time when Speedball killed a bunch of kids and turned into Penance?
